Mrblack Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Made the topic in the wrong forum (skyrim proper instead of mod support), direct me if I should repost During gameplay if a little inflation happens the game plays fine for a bit, but that (minor) inflation corrupts the save and upon load I get this: see image. Max inflation Been modding for some time, and know the drill... My reason in posting this is hopefully I've missed something simple. What has me confused is I haven't change or re-modded anything in some time. So this bug manifested out of nowhere it seems. Step one is usually to update, but again I haven't updated anything in a LOONG time easily over a year. My game has been very stable and I haven't had the need. I'll play for a bit then come back later etc... So... something probably zigged instead of zagged and corrupted a save and that's causing my problem. So the easy solution is to reload the non corrupted save! I have tried... and the bug seems to repeat now. The problem is... yes I know "how to fix" by updating, BUT anyone who has been out of the game for a bit and updated knows I'm running into a spiderweb of dependencies and a never ending domino effect of updates to fix one major plugin. I have a rather long mod list so once I update one I'll have to update 30 others... and to make matters worse I'm guessing which mod is causing the problem. I'm pretty sure its inflation! or something inflation related... or that causes inflation... I do have an archive of the old zipped mods I originally downloaded to try and fall back on, but I REALLY WANT TO UPDATE something to fix, but WHAT and my main focus is to limit Pandora's box of game crashing conflicts. So I'm leaving this post hoping for help and going to pull out my notepad and try to map immediate dependencies of inflation that will need updating too. P.S. I know my load order is probably a bit messed up as well... I was hoping it was a load order problem when I last played and got frustrated. I'll need to work on that again too. I looked into the various updates and changes to mods yesterday, and working on papyrus log today. working on it because I'm trying to duplicate error, but It seems every save i load has this error, but heres that log... So a bit more info on my versions Inflation 1.0.8 Likely other mods causing trouble: Fill Her Up ____________________________This is my next most probable cause I was a bit confused on the NIO net immerse override plugin versions? from the page of https://www.loverslab.com/topic/101600-fill-her-up-se-cbbe-uunp/?tab=comments#comment-2280799 "This is a port of Fill Her Up - NetImmerse Override Compatibility Patch 1.12 which is an upgrade of Fill Her Up - Cum Inflation." slightly confused on which one I really needed, BUT again my game was stable for a looong time so I thought it was right. Parasite (could lose but again dependencies) Procreation Naked Dungeons (best immersion mod I know to make the game nintendo hard without just upping enemy HP or having gear stolen and never found and highly doubt its my problem) Papyrus.0.log
Nazzzgul666 Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 General stuff: There is no such thing as "fix by update", but there are tons of possibilities to "break by update". If that's what happend the only guaranteed way to fix this is to start a new game, you may try save game cleaners but there's no guarantee they'll work and even a chance it'll be worse. So at least for testing, a new game is always the first approach, if it works there you know there's something wrong with your save that might be impossible to fix, if it doesn't work there either it's more likely a mod conflict and might be fixed, although changing load order in a running game can screw your save as well. More specific: 1. XPMSE is overwritten, with few exceptions when you (or a mod author specificly telling you so) know exactly what you do, that's bad and can cause tons of problems. Double check if that's ok or just move it down on the left side. Good news is that skeletons only rely on the install order, load order doesn't matter so that should be save to do on a running game. 2. For FHU you need both, a patch is called a patch because it's not standalone, as stated in it's description.
Mrblack Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 Thanks and yeah, I'm guessing if someone cant point an obvious problem/direction of attack, which i think I have covered, then maybe it's time to do the SE and start all over. So crazy it just popped up but that's expected with so many moving parts. I'm 90% sure fillherup is correct but maybe i clicked a wrong option that conflicts in inflations idk... I didn't pay NIO net immerse override that much attention in the beginning. I've thought about a clean save, but no assurances and just as many mod options to fix as a new game. I found a relly old character with more completions that does not have BUG im refering to. Odd thing is in the Save I'm worried about the Bug happens after first sexual encounter, yeah I've went that far back in my saves to find uncorrupted save. In OLD character at lvl 35 and 14+- sexual encounters no bug. odd thing is, there were very few mod changes but enough time that i couldn't hope to track them all. like I said I've had a stable Skyrim for years.... I'm playing old character and tracking with (sticky posts) suggested payprus log to catch bug. I expect it will happen again. I'm trying a new game and the endless mod options are driving me batty, but that's what I have done to myself... New game started with "live another life" mod. so far saves are not corrupted but have to try and see if bug repeats. I really cant tell if it's a mod I added (at an unknown time) that messed things up, or maybe a tiny mod option that started the domino effect. And the nightmare is that the game ending bug will reappear after hours of loving gameplay. Hoping someone see the (OP) pic and had a similar problem/experience and how to solve. " a new game is always the first approach, if it works there you know there's something wrong with your save that might be impossible to fix," is what I'm feeling. It sucks to lose past character and completions, but the (small) beauty of Skyrims open world and non-grinding quest-line and areas is that it's really not that big a worry. (I remember WoW level 40 cap grind... the sense of accomplishment was second to none) Looking into XPSME Skeletal overwrites and why, top prioirty. I've looked into all the smaller mods and cant find a thing so very likely it's skeletal node conflict, but from where. I'll post results. I'll try my best to fix this or start all over with SE.
Nazzzgul666 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 If you're wondering what's overwriting your skeleton or mods in general, just double click at the _, in your case mixed with the +, then move to the conflict tab. Upper part will show which files are overwritten and by what by this mod, lower part will show what's overwritten in this mod by others.
Mrblack Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 So, one was outdated Mighty Beasts which in combination with Sexlab Werewolves was needed for SOS... an updated verson contains both with less bugs lets hope it works with my old game (double checking version requirements) I doubt this was the problem I believe a more likely suspect for overwriting the skeleton was a Female Animations mod. XP32 has a better one in Pretty combat animations. I didnt get it at first because it seems to have many more options and should be installed in conjunction with FNIS for options to be easily understood. (hand animations are off if you if you don't tell FNIS your using it, but I'll need to to run FNIS anyway so I'll figure it out.) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15703?tab=description This is that catch 22 of modding, you have to have an intimate understanding of the game to fully understand mods, and for most users, I, just want to play with sexy mods! so all this fixing and real understanding take away from the first playthough and magic of game. It seems Fallout/Oblivion games fame stems from modding community, and I wish they would just get over stigma and release two versions of the game, an adult and non-adult. Just having the basic framework in place and one could easily check a starting survey. Does anyone really think Skyrim SE would be selling if not for modding community? /endrant No hope of fixing corrupted save, however; new/old game reboot might have better chance. Please continue to help/ direct me to other fixes. I had a 6month old since I last played load order and already ran updated LOOT. But thanks for heads up on Skeletal changes. As I remember NOTHING should change skeleton. Pretty combat mods have a couple that mod skeleton, but XP32 install has options specifically to work with them.
