assassin394 Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Problem: quick save and auto save take 30-60 seconds to save and the game complete freeze during that time. And its only happen then quick save/auto save is overwriting the older save. If I deleted old quick save file and hit F5 then it only take few secs to save. But if I hit F5 again it will take 60 secs. Since XPMSE is one of the most popular mod. I can't be the only one having this problem, right? I have this problem ever since I switched from original XPMS to XPMSE a few years ago. Afer so many seach attempt to fix it to no avail. I give up and just live with it. I disable all auto save and use manual save instead. I comment on XPMSE nexus page and the author Groovtama say there is no fix and suggest I download Autosave manager mod. Problem is the auto save/ incremental saves created by that mod still suffer the same slow saving issue. I don't mind to use manual save but after installing so many mods, My game start to crash more frequently. Imagine you fight through several dungeon and quest. Then died in combat or the crash and your last manual save is 30 mins ago. I'm pretty sure this is cause by XPMSE. I have tried many fix I found on the internet, fresh skyrim install, new game nothing work but If I disable XPMSE.esp then saving is quick again. I use XPMSEE in SSE and it don't have this problem. Only in Oldrim. I will give 5$ steam wallet for who know how to fix this.
Nazzzgul666 Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 Hmm, i don't have that problem. Possibly because none of my games survives >200 hours playing, after that i change mods and start all over again. I don't think there is an solution to this for old saves, and i'm not sure it's even related to XPMSE only, i can't imagine that's the only mod you changed in years, although it's known for spamming your log. But... depending on your mods, if you don't use the options from XPMSE to switch weapon places/animations you can just start a new game with it installed and the .esp disabled. Then at least the log spam won't happen, but as mentioned, i'm not sure if that's actually the cause of your problem. At least in theory it shouldn't increase the saves.

assassin394 Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 18 MB. I did use Save game script cleaner mod but it didn't help. Like I said, the only way to fix it is disable XPMSE.
shaidien Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 That's because it's in your pe xml . So when sceli is gone then it never makes it to the part that is bad. Try changing out or updating your pe stuf it most likely is a conflict with 2 or more files trying to manipulate the same nodes. I had same problem and tracked it down to a old hair mod and updated it problem went away. P.S. I play oldrim sometimes all day hours no crashes now I switched to smp so much easer and forgiving it only stops the effects at the line were xml is bad instead of weird crashes or that slow save problem. The slow save is also caused by to many calls out . So tone down on some of the cloaking mods that run constant scans. You know looking for the right guy to rape you or what ever it might be. Just look em all over and if they call out get rid of it tell it smoothed out. Good luck and you might upload a mod list so others can help identify the mods that scan . Only use like 3 of them at once.
Guest Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 I've had this problem as well, it's because of the xpmse.esp you can fix it by using the netimmerse cleaner mentioned above :)
