crudo Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 I've been having this issue for a long time and I've never been able to resolve. My player character is shorter than average for her race. Whenever she wears footwear with heels from DD, like slave boots, or most other high heels her height grows/scales upward. Depending on how short she is the difference can be dramatic. Once the player character wears heeled footwear for the first time in the game every new load has the player scale up. I can fix this by opening up the console and typing "showracemenu" and she will pop down to normal height. Problem is that when she is wearing the heeled footwear and a sex scene plays she grows again. I'm at a loss on how to resolve this and have been playing around the issue to this point but would really like to know how to correct. I have HDT High Heels mod. I also have NIO override mod. I understand that they both do the same thing in different ways for particular clothing mods. Do they conflict? Is there a way to fix? Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks..
Seijin8 Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Neither HDT Heels nor Nioverride scale your character. All they do is raise or lower the base NPC height node. The only thing I can think might do this (from my own experience) is if you have Jaxonz Positioner. Sometimes it will select the player character and enforce position and scale rules on them on a game load. That's the only thing I can think of that would do this.
crudo Posted April 5, 2019 Author Posted April 5, 2019 I do have Jaxonz Positioner. If that is the issue curious why it happens only when I have the character wear high heels. I will remove it from the mod list and give it a try. I hardly use it anyway.
crudo Posted April 6, 2019 Author Posted April 6, 2019 Nope. Not Jaxonz Positioner. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Nazzzgul666 Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Hmm. I think they kinda conflict or rather, it's hard for other mods to deal with an installation that has both of them. For example, the sexlab option to "delete high heels hight" seems to fail if you have both, although i didn't test this too much. For example i didn't really try if if works with HDT high heels and without NiO, so it might be entirely HDT high heels fault. But that's just one idea i didn't test through, there are probably more options how stuff might fail.
Zaflis Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Wasn't there a sexlab option to scale actors, so have you tried disabling it (or enabling)?

Yes, but that is for sex animations. This happens when my character puts on high heels, whether it's clothes or DD footwear. 7 hours ago, Nazzzgul666 said: Hmm. Do you have an option to disable the HDT High Heels, or why is it included in your load order? May also help us understand what could possibly conflict if we could see the list if installed mods and/or load order.

I understand it doesn't relate to sexlab directly, somebody on this form suggested I post the question here as I wasn't getting much help elsewhere, sorry if it's inappropriate. On the plus side I may have found a solution but not fixed the cause. It was recommended that I use setscale instead of skeletal height in the ECE menu and my first test worked. So thanks. I would still like to know how to create a load order that's easily viewed here, I'm using NMM if that matters.

I don't use NMM, but i googled: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2505584-how-to-copy-paste-load-order/?p=21998554 Quote If you use NMM, you can export the load order using the button on the left-hand side of the 'Plugins' windows (the button icon is a piece of paper with an arrow coming from it). You can either export to a text file or to your clipboard. It's even simpler in MO/MO2, the install order and load orders are already as text files in the profile folder.
