solved Missing Shaydows vampire lord textures !!!HELP PLEASE!!!

Hello all! I’ve been modding for quite some time now and still consider myself fairly new at it after doing so for years. That being said, i’m having a huge setback in not wanting to progress in my game until i get shaydow’s vampire lord overhaul mod working correctly for my character! I’ve downloaded this replacer over and over and over again to no avail and it’s getting extremely aggravating..at first following the directions in his “read me” script, dragging and dropping files manually into my skyrim data folder..when all this did for me was absolutely nothing in game..then, i attempted to use vortex to install the mod, and even tho it wasn’t supposed to be downloaded that way, it got me closer..this time, the character’s animations were working, but it was weird seeing her as still an ugly vampire queen with a very feminine way of movement..again, i am not that great a modder, and would like to know what i’m doing wrong..if i do as the readme says, i get nothing..it doesn’t even show up in my load order on vortex..no plugin, no esp, no animations and no textures, just plain old vampire lord..& if i download it over vortex, i just get the animations..i’d assume my issue lies with another texture overriding shaydow’s, but seeing as how i can’t even get his mod to show up in the load order, i have no clue how to fix it..someone please be so kind as to shed light on this situation! i’m so ready to get back to actually PLAYING skyrim

The animations will work once installed as they are an overwrite but the mesh and texture do nothing without esp.

Seems like the problem is you did not pick an esp from the folder and move it to skryim\data and that is what you need to do, once this esp is in the correct place it will show up in skyrim launcher so you can activate it.

it won’t show up in my load order once i drop the files..i drop them in the skyrim data folder as the readme says..any specific folder within that?

.esp file always goes in skyrim\data unless using mod manager but the esp must still work in that folder, however mod manager may not search that file structure for activating esp so once you verify that you have placed esp in that folder then try using skyrim launcher to check for esp to activate it.

there must be something that i’m not quite understanding because after downloading the file, i drop the 00 core data folder into skyrim data folder, and then i will choose the esp file 03 wings b into the same folder, and still nothing happens

That will not work as you end up with file structure of skyrim\data\data as well as skryim\data\03 wings b  as folders and it will not read that. You need to open each folder and move the folder contents to data, and with the esp folder you need to pick only one of those .esp files to move to data.

00 core data open this folder, next folder is data open it, drop meshes and texture folders into skyrim\data.

01 Esp Options open the folder, choose the folder with the options you want and open it then drop the esp file into skryim\data.

Use mod manager or skryim launcher to activate the esp  you may need to sort it either manually or with loot or whatever tool you have available to sort load order.

omg, your instructions have gotten me so close!! almost everything works now, aside from there still being a layer of the old ugly gray vampirelord overtop of my new sexy one, if that makes any sense..

scratch that, i realized i had to disable mnc in the creature framework menu smh..thank you so much for your help and patience! much appreciated!
