ENB expert needed! DoF issue.

Does anyone know how I can reduce the edge blur (transparent outline) when using DoF? This isn't a problem of the background is close. For example, if look at a character from above, and the background is the ground, the edge is sharp and has no blur. When background is far away, the edge become like this... Turning DoF off works, but is there a way to keep DoF effect without the edge blurring effect? Thanks ahead of time :D

The ridiculous width on your pic is due to incorrect assigned near and far planar values and interaction on top of that of one of the shitty AA implementation people use to hide the fact their resolution is postage stamp level. AA cannot and will not ever trump resolution. Your shape sample size is also fuckhueg and needs to made way smaller

C

Blown and Washed because why not the fuck out contrast Chinese ENBs exacerbate the situation, so maybe think about how much "next gen drying" "cinematical tonemapping FAP FAP" and OMGWAIFU and literally ambient glow in the dark skin really means versus all the rest of what you're trying to do visually. Most Chinese ENBs are made for and with 6bit TFT panels.

Contrary to popular belief, detail, contrast and subsurface illumination are not mutually exclusive.

Yes, turn down max bokah shape to zero in ENBDEPTHOFFIELD.INI, i just did this after installing xenb, I  hate blur!! You can also do it in the in game menu on the right side panel. It isnt even needed. Try adjusting the gaussian post blur width at the bottom too, this will increase or decrease over all blur to your tastes ?

 - Sorry if I have done something that upset you. I only use Snapdragon when I screen snipe. The colors and lighting depends on the set I work on. I have no problem changing it when needed.

I also use another ENB and don't have DoF on for normal playthrough. I like having more FPS when running around.

I'm quite dumb, so I'm not sure you're going with "width, AA implementation, and TFT" stuffs. I take pictures using Frap on 1920x1080, the same ratio as how I play. Anyway, using the nexus DoF file seem to mess something up.

- The DoF file that comes with Snapdragon prime don't that setting. I try adding it manually and set it to 0.0 but to no avail. Here a picture of it

I'm not upset at all. I'm just laying the plain old facts of

1. using AA and DoF together. You're using two different resampling/blur/smear/blend techniques with completely different goals, and they're competing with each other.

2. The fact your contrast is crushed to hell enhances the effect greatly.

The 'messed' up part in your second pic there is where you've focused your view. McFly's DoF is literally view based not scene based. When you're focusing on the far areas, the near areas are blurred and vice versa, this allows you to set exactly where you want blurring to occur in a screen shot.

I didn't intended for AA and DoF to be on at the same time. I thought you have to turn off AA in order for ENB to work correctly. No error message pops up, so I've always assume it's okay. Is there a way to turn off AA without going through the launcher? It always install old ass steam mods that I forgot to unsubscribe to. Anyway, thanks for the helps again. I tries the two files you send me as well as DoF file from few other people, I still get the outer halo effects. I'll try playing with the setting McFly's setting and see where that will lead me.

I'm talking about the enb injected blurring options, not driver-based AA, driver based would result in black screen on 7 and monster flickering on 10.

Check the section in local.

Also check the bloom, grain and blur sections in effects.
