Skyrim SE for Beginners - V 3.2.6 (Outdated)

I've used this setup with a couple additional mods and had a stable game. Then I tried going into Vilemyr Inn in Ivarstead and it crashes every time. I've tried going into several other inns and I have no issues. Just wondering if anyone knows what is causing this and if it is just me. 

 

Adjustments I've made in case it helps is:

Removing Whiterun Valley because it was crashing my game (don't know why);

Added Inigo, and Vilja;

Added Diverse Dragons Collection;

Removed Killable Children;

Added Cinematic Dragon Soul Absorption;

Added Wintersun;

Added Hearthfire multiple adoptions;

Added LC_Build Your Noble House;

Added Sexlab Aroused Monitor Widget (I did the conversions and it is working fine)

Added FNIS Sexy Move

Added several Devious Device mods

 

This has been working well for several hours with no crashes (Besides the Whiterun Valley stuff) and I'm up to level 15. Only crash I have is Vilemyr Inn in Ivarstead. I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot this.

Just went to the inn and its working fine on my side.

 

The mods 'Whiterun Valley' and 'Killable Children' are optional anyway so having those (or not) wouldn't affect the game per se. FNIS Sexy move should be safe, same as Inigo (he's so wellknown and on my list for testing). If there's no dragon around 'Diverse Dragons Collection' should be safe as well.

 

The point 'Added several Devious Device mods' is a bit unclear. Which ones? DD itself worked (i tested it).

 

The best way would be to make a hard save in front of the inn, deactivating the ones you added and cleaning the save (see 'Troubleshooting'). Then enter the inn. If it works, leave the game and add one mod. Reload the hard save, enter the inn, etc. The one which causes then a CTD usually is the one with the problem…

 

You did run LOOT and SEE to check for errors, right?

I ran LOOT. I'm not familiar with SEE.

 

As for DD mods I have: Devious Devices Integration, Assets, and Expansion, DD for the masses, DD Helpers, and Deviously Cursed Loot.

 

I'll try deactivating mods, and see if that gets me anywhere.

Of course Bijin causes problems… Now i have to look for a software that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is able to open the files.

Fertility with Flower Girls caused the lot of them in Whiterun to get pregnant during my questing to bring Immersive Wenches back to Whiterun's tavern, sadly, I took most of them there, so the place is pretty packed and a ton of sex happens, so of course, about 6 of them got pregnant and I left Whiterun to try another mod related to Hearthfire homes, went back to Whiterun about 33 days after the pregancies happened, so they were all carrying babies, I had noticed after the baby for the player had started giggling, crying, etc, that there was visible full game stalls for a good half second (complete stall as in game went "not responding"), as soon as I went into Whiterun, saw a bunch of the Wenches carrying babies around, tried to go into the tavern, was greeted with the desktop, couldn't get into any location without a crash.  So, loaded back outside of Whiterun with that mod disabled completely (paused it and turned the Start off ***), did a save, quit out, reloaded, continued to Whiterun.  No CTDs, no errors, no stalls.  ( *** note that the Bodymorphs of those who were pregnant and not updated are still pregnant looking, there appears to be no way to undo the Bodymorphs done by this mod if you decide to uninstall it and the new version does not support anything but Bodymorphs).

 

As for your issue with the DDS, check Compressenator B7 & SSE.

Looks like my problem was an issue with Deviously Cursed Loot. Game and mod worked perfectly until I tried to enter Vilemyr Inn. Not really sure what the issue is, but I'll just have to play without it.

Thanks again. Now it works for Bijin too. So i can whip up something later (it is 03:00 AM and i need some sleep).

 

Funny thing is that Neisa and Bijin look quite similar on a first glance.

Seems like i spoke too soon. Only parts of Bijin can be opened. Body works fine, but the head and the hands don't and without full access the results arn't pretty.

Updating Status to 'Release 2.0.9'

I'm finally finished with the 'Neisa Skin' (including an update). With the added details the skin is better than Bijin and, as i didn't like the gloss, with inclusion of the patch i'll continue to use that one in the future. A big 'Thank You' @Kokan for giving me the UNP files which started my first attempt at modding. ?

3: I'll be going through the textures of Neisa again (this time not only the important ones but every single file!), optimize them and then create a package which i think will offer the best combination. So you all will have the choice between a predefined pack or creating your own via Neisa.

Again it was a very short night and i completed the first version of my skin. I changed 'a few' things from the original 'Neisa Skin' (aka ~6 files stayed untouched). The different races now have subtle differences (like the Bretons having slightly more pronounced cheekbones, Darkelves slightly thicker brows, etc.) so they all don't look alike anymore. Missing files were added (like the MSN file for Woodelves) and a bunch of things more...

 

But now i need your help. As this is my first creation i need some people to check it. Maybe i oversized a file, maybe i forgot or overlooked something, maybe <insert what i possibly managed to screw up here>…

 

So please give me some feedback after you downloaded the file.

You took Vampire Dens out.. but looks like you left the Unique Vampire Dens SSE JK Patch :).

 

Love the guide, really a huge improvment to my game!

Updating Status to 'Release 2.1.5'

As some have downloaded my skin, but didn't complain, i guess i can add the 'Aylis Skin' to the list. Made a small update for the 'Neisa Skin' so you don't have to use the 'Details' to get the labia working. Found a bugfix for 'KS Hairdo' and elderly NPC which will both end up in the list.

The Aylis and Neisa skins are very, very nice! Thanks very much for these in CBBE format.

 

I was curious, and not being that experienced working with DDS files -- I noticed in the neisa package there are PubHair DDS files. Is there someone that can point me towards how to properly overlay these? If for nothing else, just so I can begin learning a new skill. I have a very basic understanding of GIMP, but quickly get in the weeds with alpha channels, transparencies, layers, etc.

You'll find an answer to your question in the files section (see 'Improved Labia for all skins').

 

Afaik there isn't more to it. But i'm no expert. I'm really using Paint.net for only a few weeks now (more experimenting than really doing ?). I doubt i would have gotten this far if Kokan hadn't provided such a great source material.

Thats a great suggestion which makes some things so much easier! It will take a few days to check it out as i'll make a new char for that and a house mod from Elianora (hopefully the flickering lights are gone after the switch to 'Luminous').

Elianoras Breezehome works flawlessly and the lighting doesn't flicker anymore (thats why i didn't include it in the first place). I'm glad i rechecked that one as we now get a great housemod and can remove the Enchanter Table (and its sound bug) at the same time.

Looks like i got bad news… The mod 'Whiterun Valley' doesn't seem to be fully compatible with 'SexLab'. That the wild horses don't work with the 'Creature Framework' is not too bad (they are shy and wild after all). But when the added donkeys/mules act totally out of place this becomes very strange. I wanted to ask the owner for a donation to Dibella's temple and accidently hit the pack animal instead. To my surprise it answered, gave a donation and then wanted to grope my char…

 

The next thing is that an animation which was meant for humanoids started, which of course didn't work well (even with a few more, now non accidental, attempts). I'll dig more into that.

I managed to do some simple blends using TexBlend. I end up with DDS of around 65 MB, which I believe would be an uncompressed 4K image...But I'd like to learn how to do this sort of thing using GIMP, Paint.Net, Photoshop, etc. and how to save as a BC7 compressed texture. Only problem might be that (I think) only PS supports BC7 compression right now.

As this comes up again and again:

 

I will NOT make pictures of my loadorder! You'd only see the same mods in the same order as in my list… The only difference would be some mods i'm testing right now (and some of them propably won't pass my tests). So it would only be a waste of my and your time.

Im having an issue with starting the game. Whenever i start it says DYNDOLOD requires DYNDOLOD.DLL but there is that in the SKSE folder also when i switch to a female it crashes.

So I'm redoing the entire thing with MO2 I think vortex is just fucking it all up DISCLAIMER DONT USE VORTEX UNLESS YOU HAVE LIKE 50 MODS LOL. TRUST ME.

There's a reason i'm recommending MO2 again and again…

 

Atm i'm looking into Scorpion Scimitar SE and CL's Rapier. These could be good replacer for the two oversized weapons of the 'Vanilla Weapon Replacer'. Hopefully the second author will allow me to make files for that.

 

I'm also looking into a minor bug in Belethor's shop. Sometimes something green is flashing at the ceiling of the room behind him. I couldn't find the source of it and it is completely random. EEK's Belethors General Goods Overhaul SSE fixes that, but he's standing in the wrong place. If i get a solution for his behaviour then the mod might end up in the list.

Will be adding Linen wrap recipe. As we got some armors which require linen wraps this mod is a great help.
