coltontooman Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 hello anyone who stumbles upon this i am writing because i am having a problem with wicked wims and dont know what else to try i even did this on a new install no luck though. i use windows 64 bit installer (auto installer) an move the files to the sims 4 ,mods directory i get a notification that instillation was successful,resource config was created ,allowing scripted mods, have both scripted and custom options to be ticed the game even say bot ww scripts and ww controller is detected however when i go to play there is nothing in the radial menu animations dont play and object dont animate eathier the only thing worthy of note is when installing i do get two notification both say "can not copy on itself" thats all i got please help thanks
NekoboyGames Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Do you have any other mods installed? Have you dl and added any animations? I'm not sure the mod comes with animations.

Your wickedwhims folder should be in the "Electronic Arts/The sims 4/Mods" unfortunately tried that several times an no difference so if im not mistaken there should be some indication of wicked whims being installed at the moment in the in-game radial menu when you click you're character right

It will also list the animation authors and number of animations. If you don't see this, WW isn't being loaded. You should also see a mod list display on the game menu before you load your save.

Try removing it and retest.

Try removing it and retest. thank you for the advice i will try it however i did a reinstall of s4 with just ww it was not working ,now i have wicked jobs after trying just ww install alone so i dont know that it will help

WW has 2 files only, 1 script & 1 package Folder should be: user/my documents/electronic arts/the sims 4/mods/wicked/ (2 WW files + animations) No other folders allowed inside the Wicked folder. Make sure you have both mods & scripts enabled in EA game settings.

Make sure you have both mods & scripts enabled in EA game settings. thank for the advice but i feel like something is actually corrupted the functionality within the windows because i installed ww on a clean install exactly as you said no other files in ww folder the game actually detects both files but once in-game the radial menu has no indication of ww actually present is it possible a have to make or edit the recorce.cfg anyway im running out of option and may actually reinstall my os as i just switched motherboard,ram,and cpu and it may have caused problems

I'd be more suspect of the Sims 4 being corrupted rather than the OS but who knows. My preferred OS is Win7 pro for any gaming, and I've even reverted back to 7 from Win10 on wife's laptop. You can buy perfectly legal keys for Win7 on Ebay for 10 bucks, with instant delivery by messages. Guy is in AU and they pull the keys from junked computers. Luckily I found a Dell Win7 pro CD on Ebay some time ago and it's been able to install on everything I've done so far. But some of the newer hardware doesn't like Win7 due to there non UEFI bios.
