Weretindo Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) The ending/podium sprites are tricky to edit, so I thought I'd explain them. I was playing around since these specific sprites are compressed. The sprites must be symmetrical as there is only a half body to edit that gets mirrored. The bottle is also not attached to the sprite. These sprites are the same, so editing one edits the other (Japan version first, US second, "Thank You" screen is both) These sprites are the same: In the Japanese version, the pink on her face is a separate sprite: The head pieces in the ending/podium are shared with these two: It's best to not go overboard with these and try to keep the arms in the same positions in case you want them imported. By the way do you know if there's any unused vram slots during the podium scene? Though I realize it's an insane amount of work to start hacking random graphics routines in a super packed snes game as I have done it before... There should be more vram in the Japanese version since the "Congratulations" text is shorter in Japanese, but I'm not one that would be capable of realigning the sprites. I came here to see if it works, because my nintendo dosent recognize game patching so i cant use mods propely (for any game), anyways let me know.

I remember when I made my SMK mod—I spent a good few hours trying to edit the podium sprites but couldn't manage to decompress them. Anyway, congratulations! That must have been a ton of work! I dunno how well a nude mod for smash 64 would be, even with custom female characters added they would be too poligonal in my opinion, tho it probably would be fine if they were givin underwear to cover as a whole torso.
