Suggestions for difficulties involving gender-swapping

Hi,

I'm writing a story outline, and part of it seems a little thin. I'd like to hear suggestions from a variety of people. The story involves some gender-swapping, so the questions are;

 

If a woman were to suddenly become a man, what difficulties (and possible embarrassments) might he encounter, adjusting to his new body?

 

Similarly, If a man were to suddenly become a woman, what difficulties (and possible embarrassments) might she encounter, adjusting to her new body?

 - Don't mention menstruation. Of the few, I came up with, I thought of that one. --Unless there's something in particular you think bears mentioning.

Speaking as a woman, the first thing that pops in my mind is how a woman would deal with I guess you'd call unexpected erections?  That has always seemed to me to have a great deal of potential for embarrassment.  Also maybe learning to aim at the toilet?  That's something parents teach their sons, so how would someone who was never taught do at it?  Also she would probably feel a considerable amount of angst at suddenly being the gender that (I presume) she had no desire to be.  (The same would go for your male character as well).  There would also be good sides, she might revel in suddenly being physically stronger, and being taken more seriously as a male.  If she was suddenly much taller, she might find herself suddenly awkward and likely to bump her head on things or trip over her larger feet. 

 

As for your male character, I'm more stumped haha.  I'm used to being a woman and taking all that comes with it in stride.  Maybe he would be irked at being patronized by a certain segment of people?  He might have a LOT of angst over his missing penis.  He might realize that he's now smaller and weaker and more vulnerable, and experience a wariness of others he never really had before.  (If his physical size changed too).

 

If I think of anything else, I'll come edit this post.  Your story premise sounds interesting!

Wow. This is so helpful. I owe you one big time. I'd like this story to work out, because it pushes me out of my comfort zone in several areas, which caused me to drop it (about 7 yrs ago). I want to grow / improve, so pushing myself is exactly what I need to do. R-Lo gave me some great advice about night photos, which I haven't done since Sims 3, and I'm improving in that area already (still not as good as my Sims 3 shots, but much better). Incidentally, you've given me another idea or two. All I need to do now is write them all into the story.

Thank you, these look very promising. I haven't watched anime in ages and am trying to get back into it (lack of time), so I'll definitely look for them. I don't understand Japanese, and can't stand English dubs, so I need to find some with English subtitles. As for TSF Monogatari, it looks "intereting". When you said "darker side of things" I was expecting something like "Elfen Lied", which I overly loved and have been thinking of re-watching. ... Wow, Just checked my downloaded episodes; I watched it back in 2005! ?

• Morning wood.
• Getting used to sitting with his new business in the way.  The ways women traditionally sit - knees together or legs crossed at the thighs - are still possible, but not comfortable.

I watched Elfen Lied too! I've also been considering a rewatch lol,

TSF Monogatari was a little too graphic for me, I'm fairly desensitized but not that much haha!!

Basically the lead character is a guy who becomes female and develops an addiction to gangbangs etc and random hook-ups, I won't spoil it much but it honestly won't leave much to your imagination and especially where biology is concerned
