Rel01 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 The title pretty much says it all, I can't seem to run Bodyslide under MO. I've followed various guides and I believe I've installed Bodyslide in MO correctly. The steps I took were: 1) Install the Bodyslide "mod" using the normal MO process. 2) Click on the Bodyslide "mod" to activate it in the Data window on the right hand side. 3) Set the Bodyslide and Outfit studio.exe to all run as administrator 4) Run the .exe from the Data window in MO. The error I get is Failed to load Bodyslide.xrc I believe it's because Bodyslide can't find the virtual directoy that MO creates to run stuff. My Skyrim and MO are on different drives, but I would rather not combine them onto a single one. Any advice on how to fix this? The reason I'm even trying to use Bodyslide is becasuse I want to use the conversion located here: If I could run BodySlide outside of MO to just create the files, that would be an acceptable workaround as well. Is there a way to run Bodyslide outside of MO to just create the armor mod and add it as usual? Thanks for any help.
RohZima Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 Just extract it to Data then run from its own folder or make a shortcut to desktop?
Rel01 Posted February 18, 2019 Author Posted February 18, 2019 Hm, so I could temporarily copy all the files needed to the actual data directory, run Bodyslide make the mod and then remove the files. I guess that could work. I'll have to find a tutorial that tells me how to install bodyslide to Skyrim directly; every tutorial tells you to use a mod manager program lol.

That is not a good idea, imo, of course. That is near the same as make a MANUAL instalation and is open to a lot of MANUAL errors. The armos pack is gigantic and MUST BE adapted to the body. You MUST extract a lot of thinks. The BodySlide, the armor pack AND the body that are ussing. If you change the body model in MO the EXTERNAL armors not match the new body. Letting appart the hard disk space need because you are duplicating the files. Better find the cause of the problem. Thousand of users execute BodySlide from MO whitout problems. Quote The error I get is Failed to load Bodyslide.xrc That file is a simple XML file in the resouces folder of BodySlide. The error only can come from a bad instalation.Maybe can come from user access rigth. Reinstall BodySlide and be sure you are ussing the last version. Revise yours access rigth, disable UAC and be sure you launch MO as administrator. Revise your overwrite folder and the GAME folder and verify you not have trash.
Rel01 Posted February 20, 2019 Author Posted February 20, 2019 I double checked the tutorial to reinstall Bodyslide and I made sure to run everything with Admin/UAC off. Still no luck. However, I wasn't running the latest version of Mod Organizer so I'll try upgrading that and see if that fixes it. I'll also move my Mod Organizer to the same drive as my Skyrim install and that might solve the issue too. Hopefully this fixes the problem.
