DDvslns Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 hi all  so i'm new at fiddling with skyrim , but i want to edit my levled lists so that npcs use more moded armors (armors originaly intended for player) , but ii'm facing a problem with male npcs generated randomly wearing female armor , as result i get an empty mesh (flying head with no body)  so my novice idea to address this is to somehow make it that if the npc wants to wear a certain moded armor say for example "Broken Angel - Elysium armor" tell will know(after i edit something in tes5edit or CK) that oh thereis no male model i am going to just wear the alternative assigned say "magerobesofrestoratoin02"  is there a way to do that?and can someone tell me where to assign the male and female meshes  P.S i tried editing the tes5edit by making a new overriding esp which has differen't "filenames" under the world model in tes5edit based on this guide "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqU2U3NK7qo"  it worked..... sorta..... i did get the occasional npc withthe new armor intended as opposed to the generic armor , but some male charecters were either naked, flying heads only , or wearing the old armor. also very few female npcs were naked as well  Also as a test i used player.placeatme and then i used many differen't IDforms because i didn;t know which one is the right one for the npc , i was testing on Vigilants of stendarr  thank you to allÂ
Varithina Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Some of the problems you are having with missing bodies and such may be that the armour being assigned does not have male meshes for them to use, check the armour mod you are using and see what if any male meshes are added by it, most custom armours made for females tend not to have male meshes in them, in which case you could assign vanilla game meshes for males, using the nearest vanilla armour in its place. Â And in response to your main question take a look at the outfits used by npcs and see how they are used, the ones for bandits especially should give you a good idea as there are four or five versions of the fur armour, see how that is implemented in the base game and use something like that to assign custom armour to the appropriate npc types.
DDvslns Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 thank you for your reply, your right ill go check the bandit armor and leveled lists. can i use tes5edit to do what i want to do ?
DDvslns Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 so i tried to compare between how orginal game does the tes5edit and how the mode is and how i want it to be. and i stumbled on this little wierd dealy (pic below)  it seems the directory path is differen't for male has M ,female has F . but the problem is the path is not complete nor can i find the item "CuirassGlassGO" when i search my installation folder  so i don't know weather or not this is a real directory path or just a reference kind of deal  any one have any ideas?
DDvslns Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 Can't seem to find where vanila male armor is stored! in the directory
Andy14 Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 You need for males and females nifs in ArmorAddon. 2 different nifs, and maybe 2 nifs for 1stPerson
