SimianJyhad Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 I think this is an issue with the save itself but please somebody more knowledgeable than me weigh in I started a new game - played through the main quest and a few side quests up to going to see the greybeards. No crashes no warnings yet. after killing the two cultists from miraak I tried to fast travel to whiterun stables. CTD. Then tried going overland to Whiterun stables, soon as I get just past the Brewing hall CTD. Fast traveled to the western watch tower (the one where you fight your first dragon) no crashs. Got as close to Whiterun stables as the custom Player House Elysium and got inside it. Now anytime I try to exit I get a CTD. However I loaded another save that is strictly vanilla with my current mod loadout. I was able to fast travel to whiterun stables and wander around as well as zone into the elysium house and back out without crashes. Its a broken save isnt it? my main one I mean. Is there anyway to force skyrim to rebuild the Cell from outside of it and purge the old saved cell data?
Karen1965 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Use TESEdit to check world space errors. Apply filter not filter for cleaning. Check, tick world space. check for errors. Find mods that conflict. check for different Id locations check that both mods check to the same ID. Should fix your CTD problem. Modders use different id when making mods. The game does a wobbly as it does not know which ID to load.
Uncle64 Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 As Karen says, you may have mods that conflicts in that area. There is some triggers that activates when you pass those places. Your sava may be fine, but you need to check your load before you get it more broken. You can also try to wait in one cell, that you know are not modded and not full of bandits and stuff for 30 ingame days. Then the game resets almost all cells.

Thank you Karen1985 I have a starting point now I truely do appreciate you being able to give me that starting point. and Thanks to you Uncle64. not sure what mods could be conflicting in that area which will be a pain in the arse
SimianJyhad Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Bah, Getting the crash with all mods disabled as well now. Tried the method of disabling a load of mods then trying to load into the area that is the problem. and got as far as disabling everything but the Unofficial Skyrim Patch....got that far then the save wouldn't load at all. This is aggravating as hell. I tried looking for conflicting world spaces but didnt find any likely culprits. Tried disabling just the mods that Might touch that area even tangentially and did the whole disable half, then half again etc.

Tried it and what do you know? it worked. I used a save that has no mods baked in whatsoever not even the universal patch, then went through the enabling process in small batches. I think I tracked it down to a home mod conflicting with something. Wont know for sure until I do more testing but thats what seems to have been the culprit, the waterview player home
