vaneglorious Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Hello. I'm trying to use SexLabFramework for the first time, and I'd like somebody to shed some light on certain things, because it seems to be creating some big conflicts with other mods. I followed the instructions, were pretty simple, no issue there. However, I'm not sure where to load this mod in my install order, as some scripts overwrite the ones in PapyrusUtil and the hand meshes are gone if I load it before body mods. I loaded it around the end under FNIS and under it the FNIS generated. However, when I start any game (load or new), I get a bunch of messages that RaceMenu scripts are not working as they should (and opening it up, many functions and ECE disappear), plus DualSheathRedux is undetected now. On top of that it reset many mods' scripts, refunded all my perks (Ordinator), reset assets on my character (bald and missing features), removed items from my inventory and who knows what other side effects it caused that I haven't noticed yet. Every time I load a save, ALL my settings reset to default in MCM, as if starting a new game. The mod itself seems to be working well, it's just that it breaks a ton of other stuff. Except one thing - after a sex scene my mouse buttons don't do anything for the actions they're mapped for (left/right click, zoom with wheel). For reference, everything was working fine as heck before I installed SLF. Papyrus log, installation and plugin load orders are attached. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Seijin8 Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 You could maybe try following the instructions?
Gameplayer Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 The Base installation of SOS...Slongs of Skyrim Overwrites Papyrus Utils, Overwrites Hands, Overwrites a lot of stuff, even some scripts. On the Left hand Panel of Mod Organizer you want to move SOS up to the Top, so that its stuff is overwritten by other mods. For users that use other mod managers that will mean that they will install SOS first and everything else after SOS....So that SOS stuff that would conflict is overwritten by more modern mods. SOS was written well before a lot of stuff and not really updated. It has been a long standing issue. Understand that I am not talking about Load Order, I am not talking about where the ESP/ESM files are....Im talking about the order that the mods where physically installed in causes files to be outright overwritten. You can change the order of those Overwrites in Mod Organizer simply by moving them in the left hand panel....But for other managers it may mean that they have to completely uninstall the mods and then reinstall them in the correct order. That is how it is with Nexus Mod Manager, now people are on something called Vortex, no idea how confusing that's going to get in the future. ---------------------------------------------------------------- With Mod Organizer, you should be able to quickly tell which mods are being overwritten simply by looking in the left panel.... Look for + or - or +/- This tells you at a glance that files in the mod(s) are being overwritten that is those files don't count in the final equation. So your installation order in the Left Panel absolutely matters. ----------------------------------------------------------------- SOS has to come before Racemenu, Sexlab, Skeletons, Papyrus Utils....Ect,..... In Mod Organizer its a fast fix. ======================================== At the Bottom of the Left Panel in Mod Organizer....You will see a Word called Overwrite it should be grey out........But if Overwrite is RED word, that means you have FILES in your Overwrite Folder. The Overwrite folder stores all of your "LOOSE FILES" such as FNIS, a Merge Patch made from TESEDIT, and storage files from other programs like Paputil or JSONS....Bodyslides.....Patches like ASIS or Dual Sheath Its sloppy practice to allow your Overwrite Folder to contain anything and can lead to issues cause you wont know for certain if your files are good. Always always keep that Overwrite empty When you generate new files say for Dual Sheath redux you want to Right Click on Overwrite and Create Mod.....So now when you go and make Bodyslides you right click and make mod for your bodyslides.... This way you know where your Merge Patches are and your ASIS patch is and your FNIS patch is....Rather than have them all mashed together and potentially end up with problems that are hard to narrow down cause all the patches are sitting in one folder.

I'd not be posting here otherwise. 1 hour ago, Gameplayer said: The Base installation of SOS...Slongs of Skyrim Overwrites Papyrus Utils, Overwrites Hands, Overwrites a lot of stuff, even some scripts. That is handy to know. I do not have SOS, however. For the rest of what you wrote, I'm long done with all of that. As I said, I already had a stable and working Skyrim. I installed SLFramework as the instructions described, then I read the FAQ A-to-Z and now here I am. Everything works fine, except for self debugs (no masturbation), or at least that's how you trigger it, right? And the mod shuts down some scripts that make RaceMenu+ECE work. It also does a clean reset of literally every setting of all mods within MCM on each load, as if it were a new game. If it was a load, it even resets my character to near itemless and bald. I also noticed that SLF has two mods I already had - Mfg console and PapyrusUtil scripts. At least it seems to have the same files.
Grey Cloud Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 1. If you have a prblem with SLF then you should be posting in the SLF support thread. 2. I use RM, ECE adn SLF without problems. 3. Have you run LOOT on the load order? 4. How many plug-ins is that? 5. It may be that SLF was the 'straw which broke the camel's back' here. 6. What mods do you use to give you the sex? I can't see any.
Gameplayer Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 The major problem is that you have overwritten PapyrusUtil Scripts. You have to move Sexlab higher than Racemenu.... You could also decide to go get the latest PapyrusUtils, to then place it later than mods that overwrite its scripts. On MO, look at the left panel look for +/- symbols if its a plus it means that mod contains files that are overwrite prior mod files, IF sexlab is lowest in the left panel its version of Papyrus Utils from like 2 years ago are overwriting mods that may contain newer versions of PapyrusUtils scripts! If its minus that means that the mod contains files that are overwritten thus not used....This is a problem with some mods cause Sexlab doesn't have the newest version of pap scripts. Then you go on about how it causes all these problems... I don't care about the symptoms, I care that you correct it as I have described. You have to move stuff in the left panel so that the "installation order" is correct. ____________________________________________________ AND again.....Im not talking about the order of the ESP/ESM's Im speaking strictly about the order that the game looks at the actual files such as meshes, scripts, and everything that is not an ESP/ESM Whenever we are speaking about ESP/ESM order we are talking about Load Order, Im talking about Installation Order Which is easy to correct in Mod Organizer __________________________________________ EDIT, With MO, Look for the Plus Minus signs....in left panel Now Right click that mod, you get a popup window, you can now select "Information" That brings up a new window....Select Conflict tab, that tab will tell you exactly which mod is overwriting exactly which files. Files with same name are not exactly the same....Understand that files such as scripts can be changed by their authors over time.... Sexlab has old Papyrus Utils scripts which are likely overwriting other mods you installed which have newer papyrus scripts.

With SLF 256, but I tried disabling some to lower it below 255, same effect 5. Perhaps so, but usually not this spectacularly 6. SLF has a lot of built-in animations in it that I can set up, is there something else I need to use? 14 minutes ago, Gameplayer said: The major problem is that you have overwritten PapyrusUtil Scripts. PU also hasn't been updated since 2016 September for LE, and the last time I downloaded it was in 2018 April. I'll try again, I guess. Thanks for all the replies btw.
Gameplayer Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Ok just for the sake of clarity.... Only try to load up saves from before you installed Sexlab and started having the problems......Problems you have now when you save a game, that save game has the problem baked in....Save games from before are safer. Order should look like this, SOS Sexlab Racemenu Only Stuff after Racemenu was made that may contain Papyrus Util stuff.... If needed PapyrusUtil itself.....Shouldn't need too though. Have you attempted to start a new game and see if the problems persist.......Assuming of course the Order is correct on Left Panel and Load Order is correct in Right Panel.
vaneglorious Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 Did exactly what you said. It got even worse than before. Both New and Load game leads to CTD after 1 sec on the load screen. Tried with and without PU. Also Dyndolod requires PU. Edit: I kept trying, I could start a new game without a CTD now. But still RaceMenu is not functioning properly. It says BaseScript not set up properly. I loaded everything how you said.
Grey Cloud Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 1. Nothing to do with me, I just meant there are people there who know Sexlab inside and out. 3. It doesn't look right to me, e.g. AS LAL too high up and FNIS too low down. 4. Unless your game is set up perfectly then running anywhere near the plug-in limit is asking for problems. 5. What's spectacular about it? When you have an accumulation of things which aren't right then you will get a series of wierd and wonderful problems. 6. No, you don't need anything else I suppose. It's just that I've never seen anyone do it that way. Gameplayer seems convinved it is an MO thing so I'll bow out as I don't use it (and this reminds me why).
vaneglorious Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 Solved. I redid my load and installation order, reran all patchers and installed RaceMenu loose scripts to overwrite some warpaint mods that caused the script errors. Thanks for your efforts to help me @Gameplayer.

Ah good on you for pointing out the error, Others might run into that issue with a Character Paints Mod containing out of date scripts.....That would be hard to catch!

They were SKFemaleLayeredWarpaint, SKFemaleWarpaintPart1 and Part2. They overwrite RaceMenu scripts for some ungodly reason and screw it up.
