Darkpig Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I have been merging armor mods using TES5Edit for a while now and then they got rid of the ability to manually remove masters because of some ID problem. Yeah sometimes things do go wrong but it's an easy fix. I would rather have them put a health label on the cookie jar but I digress. I looked into how to re enable it and all it said was type in these commands in startup: AllowMasterFilesEdit and IKnowWhatImDoing. Where do I enter these commands or is there a faster way to merge mods and what is it?
spoonsinger Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 There are arguments you provide running Tes5Edit. i.e. TES5Edit.exe -IKnowWhatImDoing -AllowMasterFilesEdit in either the commmand line or the properties of what ever shortcut you have to run TES5Edit or the arguments field in MO.

Like this? I don't run Mod Organizer by the way. I use the ol NMM.
spoonsinger Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Thats the properties of the exe. Right click on the exe then choose the create shortcut option then right click on the short cut and add the arguments to the end of the line with the .exe in. ps No even sure why you are going to this bother. If you 'check for errors' on the esp and it comes up with none, then you can right click on the esp in Tes5edit and choose the "clean masters" option to get rid of masters which arn't used. If you do have errors you and control click the references on the messages panel on the right to see where the error is. Then fix it yourself.

I originally hesitated to make this thread because there are other ways to do create, delete and change master files but I stubbornly refuse to follow the rules. I'm a bit of a rebel. Huh I tried your first suggestion to no avail. I'll try your second suggestion and see how it goes.
