Hi. KS HDT wigs has a number of meshes which are not included in the non-hdt version so I'm looking to convert many of them but am having a heck of time finding a solution. I have messed with a variety of changes in Nifscope but not completely successful and am hoping someone might have an easy solution? Maybe?

Use outfit studios and remove the HDT bones. You will have to reweight paint those wings though. I would just weight paint them to one of the spine bones whichever is closest. If you don't reweight them you'll either crash or have the stretching to infinity problem.

Hey myuhinny! Always good to hear from you. First had to remove all bones in Nifskope and remove HDT "extra data". Plop into OS along with the female_head.nif from "character assets". Copy bones over to the hair meshes and THEN paint. Worked like a charm. Thank you very much.

Fastest way to check is to take the nif that is having the stretching to infinity and load it into outfit studios and then try to do the export it out if it has bad weight painting it'll throw up a error if there are no errors then it'll most likely point to a improper skeleton being used. Meaning the skeleton being used is missing a bone node that the item/hair needs so you'll end up with stretching or crashing.
