SmedleyDButler Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 If you download the .7z files from this tistory page, you'll notice they are marked .7z.001, .7z.002, and so on. Only the first one (.7z.001) can be opened by 7zip, yet it seems to have the files in the screenshots (unless the other files contain hair or shoes or other parts. What exactly is going on here? I've never seen this particular zip extension. Do I need to repack the first one to make it work with a mod manager or will that cause a problem. Are these three files somehow dependent on each other (e.g. segmented download)?
SirNibbles Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 This particular zipping method is used to "split" a download into several smaller files. A lot of hosting websites don't allow 1 file to go above a certain amount of bytes (usually somewhere around 100MB, but then again it differs everywhere), when a file is split into "filename.001" and "filename.002" you can bypass this restriction. In these cases you would need to have both of them downloaded, but you would only have to unpack the "filename.001" and it will automatically unpack the other "filename.002" as long as it's in the same folder path as the "filename.001".
