masterkill59 Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Right so there's this armor mod : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16182?tab=files and im trying to remove the skintight black suit that comes with it so that you can see my character's skin. So far I've tried to use nifskope and, since the author is nice and split it into multiple pieces, i was able to just delete it which has worked before when i deleted a cloak from a vampire minidress outfit but with this one I've noticed that unlike the minidress, there is no grayish body in nifskope and, when i put it on ingame, the parts where you should see my body are just invisible. So I've been trying how to add that grayish body but some help from you guys would greatly speed up that process im sure. Oh and im using unp with bijin textures.
myuhinny Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 I can't load them as they are sse but there probably isn't a body underneath that armor so that is why it appears invisible in game. It could also be that the chain mail is just a retextured body so try changing the chain mail texture to the female body texture and see if it renders to the female body. If it's not then you'll have to add a body to the armor.

Not 100% sure how to do that but i'll try taking the bijin textures and renaming them ebony, see what happens. And there's an LE version here : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/86134 Edit 5 seconds later : Figured that was a bad idea as it would probably just change the whole armor and not just the mail underneath.
myuhinny Posted December 20, 2018 Posted December 20, 2018 Bodies going to have to be redone the body in the chain mail is the CBBE base body but the UV map has been hacked up into pieces so you'll have to use bodyslide's outfit studios to add a new body to it.

Here is how I do it using Bodyslide and Outfit studio. Step one open Outfit studio Spoiler Step 2 load the nif file you want to change Spoiler Should look like this now Spoiler Select the base body which is the under armor you want to remove and delete it Spoiler Then do file - import - from NIF Spoiler If you have Bodyslide and outfit studio then it will be at the addy in the screenshot (from "meshes" forward everything before that will depend a lot on your installation locations the part after meshes are always the same. Spoiler Then you want to export this do file - export - to nif Spoiler save this new nif over the old nif and walla! it will be skin under the armor in the game instead of the chain stocking. Spoiler No need to mess with textures as your base body already uses your textures and it will copy that over when you import that nif. ?

Wow, thanks man, didn't expect to get help this good lol. I had actually managed to do all that on my own by just messing around except i'd imported a cbbe body so the textures were all messed up and gave up after that (took me a while to get to that point) Anyways, wouldn't have got it without you thanks!
