DarkFlame277 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Hello again, I have a weird problem that I can't figure out. I usually try to keep about 5 saves, so I overwrite old saves with my new ones. It's been fine till about last week when I found that my new saves wouldn't overwrite the old ones anymore and instead just made separate saves. I didn't think much of it and kept playing normally, manually deleting old unneeded saves. But then a few days ago (no more than 2 or 3) my game began crashing whenever a new save was made either manually (esc menu or quicksave) or automatically with SSSO (other autosaves have been disabled in the ini). I tried loading my older saves to see if they too would crash when I tried to save and they did ? I then tried loading a save from WEEKS ago that I had backed up and when I saved using that one it working fine, no crash. I guess my saves must have gotten corrupted somehow. I may have to just start over from that old backed up save. But if someone can figure out what happened maybe I can avoid another corruption in the future. (Although it was probably just my removing and adding of a couple mods that caused a corruption. I'll have to be more careful.) The Papyrus.0 log is no help to me and never is but I'll attach it to this post anyway, my load order has been sorted with LOOT, and here is my Modwatch link: https://modwat.ch/u/Smasher277/ I think that's all ? Papyrus.0.log

Just looking over your Papyrus quick I'm going to guess that you removed one or more mods and/or changed your load order. I recommend you start by cleaning your most recent save game, then run bodyslide and FNIS again. This should be done EVERY TIME after making a change to your mod list, or mod order! Here is a link to a save game cleaner in case you don't have it: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/ If that doesn't work (it should), check your mods and make sure that they are all SE compatible. You have a lot of mods, so there is also a memory consideration. If all the aforementioned fails, try starting and loading a new game and then load the game you want to play. That way all your mods should load in a safe space before the added load of your current save game.

All my mods should be compatible unless I missed something and I do clean my saves after I remove a mod. I only remove mods that cause problems and I don't do it often either. Also, I don't see how running bodyslide again can fix anything but after running FNIS again nothing seemed to change, the game still crashed when saving ? But I'm okay with using that old backed up save I mentioned, it's actually not as old I had first thought it was. I'll just be more careful in the future and keep more saves and backups.
rafael666 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 For example: If you install some armor that has a bodyslide association, and then later remove that mod, or change the mod order in a way that permits another mod to take precedence in some way, then FNIS may not generate properly. I'm guessing that without running bodyslide after a change, that running FNIS still processes old Bodyslide data. It will spam your papyrus log with error warnings. I find that running both Bodyslide and FNIS after any mod change usually eliminates that problem. Papyrus spam alone can eventually crash your game once the log gets big enough even if the errors are not critical. Well, I'm you are good with using your old backup save.

Ok, well I recently ran bodyslide again because I did remove an armor mod that I didn't want anymore (didn't fit my body shape). But I haven't removed any other armors after that.
