How big are the Nuka-World gangs?

Supposedly the Nuka-World gangs are a force big enough to threaten the Commonwealth but they don't seem all that big while wandering their bases and Nuka-World in general.  Of course this is no doubt mostly a gameplay restriction.  Realistically, how big do you think the three gangs are?

I don't think they are that big, its a united raider band with a shacky alliance kept together by taking the park and trying conquer the commonwealth.

 

Definetly bigger than railroad, but I don't think it bigger than the brotherhood forces or a fully fledged minuteman faction with all quest.

 

Only reason they can try take the commonwealth, because institute kept destroying any goverment formation action there, commonwealth is divided and lack of any actual military force to take care them.

 

Major factions killing each other, and minuteman is your army.

Honestly it's all about them having a well fortified base, a steady supply line, and the wasteland being divided; not necessarily their numbers.

 

Any of the four factions could destroy/dismantle the Nuka-World gangs, because just like the Minutemen, they need you for them to become any kind of a threat... Hell, most major factions in the series could beat them.

I know if the circumstances are right a small force can do wonders.  Just look at the movie "300".  But I am still curious about an actual number.  100 people per gang?  200?  50 even?

I would say 50 at very best.

 

This faction not an army, just 3 raider gang with bigger numbers, only one gang can utilise any tactics, others not much.

 

You can compare them to the Great Khans, Fiends, Jackals, Vipers, Forged, Rust Devils, Trappers, thats were their tier is.

 

Even Railroad can deal with them, despite the very small numbers.

 

Nuka gangs seems strong, because they had lucky with the park and no one care to give them any real attention

I think that a total of around 150-200 raiders, all gangs combined, would be roaming the entire park. This is a sort of educated guess based on the amount of raiders you run into at any time and the entire size of Nuka World. Of course, this is what you need to 'role play', you'll never see all the raiders at the same place at any one time. But the stands are pretty filled up during the first fight...

 

They must be dispersed quite a lot across the parks, especially once you assign them to gangs, because you run into them quite a lot while traversing the Nuka Wastes.

Then when the player sets on them and chaos breaks out, many just leave... Another gang leader gone crazy? More drama? You can hear the DJ saying he's leaving, likely many followed after him, to join other commonwealth gangs.

'Cept that movie's horribly innacurate as all hell. Might've been three hundred spartans, but it leaves out the fact they had athenian forces, not to mention slaves and other buggery, was closer to 8000 men

 

I'm with the others, nuka world would abosolutley be devastated if it actuall picked a fight wi' any of the other factions, Imma guessing the only reason they haven't been is because everybody else has bigger problems to deal with, a gaggle of barely organized savages stealing a handfull of cabbages and maybe the odd pig probably seems like a mosquito when you've got terminators, space marine wannabe's, vertiberds and airships everywhere. :3
