JustCaroAnon Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 tl;dr I want Carlos32 Horse on Dremora, but it never appears visibly even though Dremora are in the list for it. I assume there's some kind of additional problem, but I remember that I couldn't use Evil's Horse Penis 2 because the skeleton was incompatible. I wasn't sure if that was because EHP2 was set to only be available for the female skeleton, or if it really was incompatible. Is there a way to check? Either by forcing SoS to assign the schlong in-game, or...? And, is making it compatible relatively easy or relatively difficult? (IE, do I need to Nifskope or not?)
Kuroyami Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Generally. the only skeleton you want to use is from this mod - XPMSE - XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended. It fully supports SOS, and works with most addons. If using a custom race, it is possible it would include it's own Skeleton, and this not be compatible with SOS - i.e it won't have the schlong bones needed, and SOS MCM prevents you from assigning addons, or does not assign addons based on settings, if the skeleton isn't correct. This is in effort to prevent crashes. Otherwise, an addon could have issues with certain races, if it isn't setup for it. Evil's Horse Penis 1 for example, lists Werewolves in the MCM menu, but if you transform with that addon selected for your character, the Werewolf form won't have a schlong - this is because internally, they don't have custom meshes or textures for that addon, and might not have the correct ArmorAddons(references in the .esp files that list off the meshes an armor uses), to appear for the Werewolf race in-game. Though for the Dremora, they should use the same textures as the other male human/elven races in the game. and most SOS addons are setup for them.

As far as I know, Dremora use the same skeleton as all other 'humans' in the game, so it shouldn't be an issue to my knowledge for Carlos32's. (Evil's would be set up for the female skeleton, and all the Dremora in-game use the male skeleton, so obviously it would be incompatible.) Is there any other reason the Carlos32 addon might not work for Dremora? I've been trying to make a creature followers mod for the last few days, and I remember reading in some guides I found that stuff has to be done with Armor and ArmorAddon records sometimes, if it's not possible to set the Armor and Morph races in the CK. From my own checking, the vanilla Dremora race does have a Morph race set (DarkElf) but not an armor race. (I haven't checked out any SoS addons in the CK yet; it takes an annoyingly long time to load so I hate using it.) I should add - the addons that come with SoS work, and Bad Dog's Anthro. So there's something specifically with Carlos32's that is different somehow.
JustCaroAnon Posted November 5, 2018 Author Posted November 5, 2018 So, for anyone else looking at this for the 'enabling schlongs' issue: 1. Open up the addon's ESP in Tes5Edit. Expand FormID List. 2. Open the CompatibleRace formlist for the addon, and add the race. 3. Expand Global. 4. Duplicate the highest numbered RaceSize and RaceProbability globals (use 'copy as new record'). 5. Renumber these duplicated globals so their EDIDs are the right number (EG, Carloss32 Horse has 24 of the two globals, so the new ones were changed to 25). 6. Go back to the FormID list section, and add new records to the RaceSizes and RaceProbabilities formlists. Fill the new entries with your two new globals. 7. Save the ESP, and it should be fine. But. There seems to be some issues anyway with the horse addon. Firstly, I need to mess with the size probability slider a bit and see what size is ok on the mesh, because it seems to behave a bit oddly at larger sizes. Secondly, there seems to be some kind of texture issue - the textures near the base look...weird, to put it bluntly. I'm not sure if fixing the size problem will help, but I'll see. EDIT: I made a new character to check out the mesh and texture thing, and...yeah. The mesh looks very weird around the scrotum, and the texture is just....super weird. The weird bent shape also isn't to do with the size slider, it does that anyway and nothing I did in RaceMenu fixed it. I could investigate it in NifSkope, but I'm thinking I might be better off saying something in the mod topic so the creator can fix it. Adapting EHP2 for a male skeleton is also well beyond my skills and comfort zone, so...guess I just have to live with it.
