Dorabella Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Guys, I was presented with a problem during a conversion and modification of a dress (Nocturnal). The conversion was inserted (replacing all nifs) in the respective directory in the directory I did the conversion of all nifs (including the Bodyslide), modified textures, but while Nifscope reads me the texture I chose (regularly inserted in the corresponding directory), Outfitstudio, continues to read a texture that no longer exists. How can I fix this? Nifscope Spoiler Outfitstudio Spoiler Texture Spoiler Nocturnal in the game Spoiler
nagothm Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 If you replaced the texture for the nocturnal dress rather than specifying a new texture for the new meshes, Outfit Studio is still pulling the original textures from the BSA files in your install. That is why it looks fine in game and in nifskope but it is off in Outfit studio. As long as it shows up in game correctly it's not a real issue unless it just really annoys you. An alternate way of achieving this (a tad more work but no issues with Outfit studio, is to not replace the original texture, but to add new textures and edit the new meshes to point to them. Or you can load Outfit Studio and click on settings at the top. In the box uncheck BSA Textures and it should pull up your overwritten texture for the mesh. Doing this will disable OS from finding any other BSA textures though till you recheck the box. Hope this helps.

You can change the texture file path in Outfit Studio by selecting at the top Shape > Properties > Textures The mesh might then show as having no texture, but save the project anyway and when you reload it the new texture will show.

It will seem strange to you, but it has been solved by myself. After checking in the game that it was the way I wanted it, Outfitstudio correctly read the chosen texture. Thanks anyway to the suggestions, I will keep them in mind.?
