Crash when i switch to gender with hair pack

hello everyone. i have a crash to desktop when i use the hair mods ks hairdos. when i go to female is crash and close to desktop. I don't have skse nor racemenu. anyone can help me ? thx !

I fear you need SKSE to use the "Showracemenu precache killer" to prevent CTD with mods like KShair (its just too big for the vanilla race menu)

 

to prevent that kind of CTD you might want to upgrade your vanilla racemenu to the SKSE based race menu:

1. install SKSE

2. install racemenu (precache killer included)

 

(or Showracemenu precache killer, but that is included in skse racemenu anyways)

Please use the "Showracemenu Precache Killer" (requires SKSE!) so your game won't crash or freeze upon entering the race menu.
It is also recommended to use "RaceMenu" so you can see the names of the hairstyles. You must delete any old files from the previous KS Hairdo's versions.

If you don't have skse and recent versions of racemenu then my guess is you are running into the old precache issue. When you select female character game attempts to load all character options to memory which will crash on large hair pack if you don't have something to disable percache as well as a mod to expand memory limitations.

 

This might help, but still you will want a memory patch whether it's skse or crash fixes because chances are you will still hit ctd from base game memory limitation just by scrolling through hair options.
