How to start new game without old game elements carrying over??

I'm having a problem, and i'm hoping somebody can help me out here.

I have a heavily modded skyrim (about 530 mods).  Everything runs perfectly throughout all the testing I have done.  The problem is that when I start a new game, some aspects of the old game carry over to the new game.  For example some outfits that I changed on followers during the previous game are still on the followers in the new game.  I left the old game at level 13, and many of the loot item weapons were in the 25-35 strength range.  In my new game, these looted weapons are showing up around 25-30 even though I am a level 2 now.  The frost spider that I killed while getting the golden claw in the old game, is appearing already dead in the new game.  I created a new bashed patch for the new game, and have run LOOT, etc, but elements from the old game are still getting carried over to the new game.

Is there a cache that I have to clear, or files that need to be deleted from the old game before starting a new game?  Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.   I'm using Mod Organizer, and no alternate start mods such as unbound, etc...

Thanks for any help.

like gregathit said, just moce the saves to a backup folder

what else can cause that:

if you didnt made a quick stop on the desktop before starting a new game - means if you only change back to the skyrim main menu after playing already - and create a new PC, not everything skyrim has loaded into the ram gets removed and will effect your newly created PC

if you play a game and load an older save and dont fall back to desktop before that => everything from the last played session that is left in RAM will be saved on your older loaded game if you save there

=> before starting a new game or loading an older save its better to close skyrim
