Chad__ Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 *I am new so you might see a lot of these.* Recently I decided to get the SOS mod. I followed all the typical steps for getting it. I downloaded the latest version and extracted it to my desktop, I then compressed it back into a zip file and activated it using the Nexus. However whenever I attempted to launch Skyrim it simply refuses to launch. I am thoroughly stumped at this point and could use some help.
mardave31 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 So let me get this straight. You bought a sandwich at McDonalds with everything on it, took it apart and put it back together, then asked Burger King for a refund? SOS is a pain even if you install properly. Conflicts and HDT issues are the biggest problems. You need to study up on modding, get a mod organizer/installer/manager, use LOOT, use a patcher (example: SUM), and then it is still trial and error. Load order, load order, load order. Keep that in mind. I am running over 700 mods (most merged) including SOS. It can be done. If I can do it so can you. Keep at it.
gregathit Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Did you install the proper SOS: https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/5355-schlongs-of-skyrim-se/ Instead of jacking with it, just load it into your mod manager. It was built to be installed as is and not messed with.
Chad__ Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 Welp I got the SOS issue fixed but now the script extender is being a cunt. Not even going to bother posting on here due to the sheer amount of fuckery still left ahead. Its going to be a long road ahead before I become decent at modding.
