monsta88 Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Hi all, I recently started modding FO4. I had no problem so far, I could set up everything easily. However now a mod suggested to use a bashed patch and I can't seem to make WB work from under MO2. When I try to run it from MO2, i get this error message: failed to spawn "wrye bash.exe" failed to start process (the parameter is incorrect [87] I tried to run MO2 in Admin mode. - no change I tried to run WB directly from the game dir - WB runs w/o problem, but of course it doesn't see the virtual folders of MO2 Any ideas? MO2: 2.1.4 WB: Latest from Nexus. (307b?) Thanks, M
Di3sIrae Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Didn't work for me either back then. Is your MO2 updated to the latest version? Bashed Patch is a good thing to have to patch your mods, especially when you don't know how to do it, but it is something that you actually should learn. I know that in Skyrim the bashed patch was a good Leveled List helper, but in FO4 i guess a simple Merged Patch should already help you a lot with it. Open Fo4Edit within MO2, leave all plugins checked, wait, and then right click in the plugins, go to Other, i think, and select create merged patch. It will make something very similar to what Wrye does. Then you would need to do the magic and see the records it added to the new merged patch you just created and make adjustments. Usually it is just click+drag records you want to take over others to the last plugin loaded.

That gave me an idea though and now I managed to run both WB and FO4 from under MO2. I had to install them to the mods directory of MO2 to do that. Sadly neither tool can see the virtual folder structure, they both show the game's original folder only. Edit: nevermind. I updated MO2 to 2.1.5 and now both tools can see the virtual folders. I could build a bashed patch with WB, although at the end it froze, but the patch file was generated.
D_ManXX2 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 strange it should work did you run wrey bash in admin mode too also what operating system are you using, if it is windows 10 try using compatibility for windows 7 and see if it works now.

I ran the MO2 in admin mode. The WB ran only in regular mode. I have W7 Professional 64 bit.
