Fearle55 Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Hello Guys, It appears that we have next milestone in modding Sims 4. Check this out. I remember it flashing in my eyes some time ago, so i'm not sure if it was mentioned earlier. Apparently there is public release of this mod in version 1.0. However patreon site is updated to early access 1.3 version as of the moment of writing this post. Judging from amount of patrons it looks like this guy either just started or isn't popular just yet. I tried to use and test public version 1.0 but in my installations hair was kind of stuck. But i personally use many different rigs and mods, so it could be just me conflicting somewhere. Anyway, best check for yourselves. To get free version click on patreon main page in the YouTube video, and when it opens in YT link will be in description. I will also attach it here. Please keep in mind that supported hairs consists only of a bunch of vanilla hair types, so don't expect it work on custom or modded hair. Good Luck! parzysty Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 It's not a 'physics' mod. The hair is just animated.
Fearle55 Posted August 16, 2018 Author Posted August 16, 2018 @2cool4u_1 Hey, i do actually use BB mod, and it could be the reason, in my case the ends of hair look (in CAS) like they are nailed to the wall. I mean, my sim moves head, but hair endings just stay in one place, which causes tearing and stretching. Maybe somebody with relatively lightweight mod setup or different game version can give some feedback, i use xx45 (latest patch). Also i recently sorted my mod folder and got everything to work nicely, and don't really want touch it for now. ? @parzysty Yes. thats true. i agree with you. But the reason why i included word like physics is becouse the animations done to the hair try to emulate just that - physics. Saying that something is animated might as well mean that sims have christmas tree lamps blinking in their hair, i'm sure you know what i mean. Word 'animated' doesn't imply what kind of animation it is. It's just a subject of sematics. it doesn't matter much. -Cheers!
crabb Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Funny to see this creator brought up I was just going through merman's stuff last night. he's got like 8 different mermaid tail styles, this is one of them, I still need to look through them before I put them in my game but they look good! link here http://sims4studio.com/thread/7608/merman-simmer-studio I know not really on topic but I got excited when I found them so I wanted to share
Hiroki Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 It can't be compatible with boucing boobies since he made animation replacements. I would rather have bouncing boobies because even if you managed to have nice hair movements on all the different hair models, that would probably not be performance-friendly.

Fearle55 Posted August 17, 2018 Author Posted August 17, 2018 I can't say im blender expert but from what i saw, while watching his hair creation videos on YT, he sort of added 'bones' to the hair (i think) and marked some different layers on the moving hair parts. What i'm trying to say is i don't see it hitting game performance much or even at all, becouse those animated hairs are 'baked' or compiled. It doesn't calculate where the hair should go in some dynamic manner. So as i said, if there is performance hit it is probably very marginal. Also 'performance' is very relative term which means something different to each person depending on their laptop/pc hardware. The most important thing is proof of concept that this can be done. Even if this hair animation approach were to fail, there is always good chance for somebody else to pick it up and come up with their own implementation. Long story short, everybody would love to see their sims hair reacting to different situations, right ?:-)
0wnyx Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 this mod conflicted with my tongue mod (i also got that from llab).
