woodsman30 Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Our first real follower in Skyrim more than likely for you in game play is Lydia . There are two followers in Riverwood you can get earlier but they are nothing more than cannon fodder and not too great... however, at some point I may get to Faendal . Lydia receives much grief as she is eager to please but at times condescending with her tone she takes. Lydia is happy to follow you and will comment on places you go and things you do. She has had extensive training for preparing her to become a Housecarl at level 50 "level caps taken off" she has 100 skill in one handed, block, and archery. However, short shortsightedness of her training did not include lightfoot so it falls to you to train her not to set traps off. Lydia is fearless in combat and will take on any foe no matter the odds or numbers if they threaten her charge "you" they will meet her wrath. Lydia will defend your actions wrong or otherwise if a hold guard attacks you she will defend you even if you kill someone in cold blood. Lydia always has your back so take care of her give her a nice home and if your so inclined she will marry you and provide a safe environment for all you wrought on your adventures. 1
woodsman30 Posted August 1, 2018 Author Posted August 1, 2018 Serana arguably the most popular vanilla follower in game if you have Dawn-guard installed. Serana's story is tragic if there was any ever told.... lust, lies betrayal it has it all. Shorty after the start of the Dawn-guard DLC you will encounter this vampire and you will have many questions most of will not be answered you are just left to wonder. She has the class of vampire and uses spells accordant to that class. Her father is Lord-Harkon a cruel tyrant with a blood-lust for power and will sacrifice all including his own daughter to get it so beware. Serana was lock away from his cruel intentions long ago many speculated around the first era... Serana is distant and un-trusting and this is well earned as you learn of her past... "she does well for you if you follow her vanilla dialog for following but not mod follower dialog it will break her". She does not wish to marry why would she after all she has endured just be happy she trusts you enough to follow you. The Harkon story will be delved into in the mystery section as the threads are long and complicated but we will bring it to light with evidence to support it.
woodsman30 Posted August 2, 2018 Author Posted August 2, 2018 Annekke Crag-Jumper: Is next up for followers she can be found at Darkwater crossing she found the mine that the town is located at. After interaction see will ask if you will take care of a brigand she spotted after you complete this she can be made a follower. Annekke is a well thought out NPC she has a rich story and history one of the few in Skyrim but often overlooked as a follower. She holds the class of Ranger and is an expert with a bow and a one handed weapon she also high a high sneak skill make her a good choice for those sneaky missions. Annekke prefers light armor as that is what she is most skilled at wearing also of note she dual wields weapons if you leave with her pick.... She can use a shield if given one and has the skill to use it. She can be made a Steward if you want her at a home you built during the Hearth-fire DLC and leave her boring life at the mine. Annekke cannot be married without mods she is one of the few in vanilla form who looks better than most skyrim women...but with mods she is better so take this beauty with you 1
woodsman30 Posted August 10, 2018 Author Posted August 10, 2018 Frea is our next follower she is part of the Draginborn DLC and is found in the Skaal village in the northern parts of Solstheim. Frea is often overlooked as a follower due to her not being in a "marriage faction". Frea is a beautiful nord woman who is Shaman but do not that fool you. Frea is in a class all her own for combat second to none one handed weapons being her main choice often dual wielding axes Frea has light armor perks but wears Nordic heavy armor [ unknown why they gave her heavy armor ]. Often before combat she will cast a armor spell. Frea has no level caps she will be what you are for level min 20. Frea has many interactions in Solstheim as well as Skyrim often making comments on places or events. She has no real desire to be a Shaman it was not her choice but feels a great obligation to her people to be one and will always wish to remain in her village if you dismiss her. Frea is one of the true gems to come out of the Dragonborn DLC and will fight by your side till the end of the game if you so choose. Frea remains one of my favorites and has been in many play through standing tall by my side.
woodsman30 Posted August 20, 2018 Author Posted August 20, 2018 Adelaisa Vedicci is an Imperial who works for the East Empire Company with the class of citizen and will give the quest Rise in the East an interesting quest and worth while to do. After the completion of Rise in the East Adelaisa will be available as a follower. She has a cap at level 25 that can be removed ( strongly recommended ) as she progresses in levels she becomes a reliable follower with unique comments on traveling. Often overlooked as a follower due to her lack of combat skill but as stated above remove her cap and her skills start to shine. She has skill in one handed weapons, archery, and sneak she will be found with heavy Imperial armor when you meet her ( makes no sense as she is unskilled in heavy armor ). Adelaisa is worth a second look the strongest followers are not always the best she has a good back story with dialog.... If The PC is looking for a sneak follower she will fit the bill after leveling her up she would be a rouge class and well rounded for sneaking and stealing. Remember all vanilla followers need your help as they need help with light-foot training remember a follower is only as good as their leaders so help them out. Adelaisa is happy being single she really is not interested in marriage but will follow you where you go and if asked she just may give up her career and be a Steward of a home you build. 2
