haluzzak Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 If I get close to my face, I will disappear the texture of my eyes. I also tried a clean installation without mods, but it did not help. It's interesting to play mods with a new landscape (interior), texture is not lost. Any idea?
Benjou1 Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 I think it's an issue with the game engine itself, maybe changing ini settings can help but don't do it unless you know what to do
Di3sIrae Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Just to know, you are zooming in without any different FOV, right? The character dissapears when going too close, and if you use TFC and try to go near the face, textures will start to disappear, then face parts. For a good closeup, use a lower FOV command. Like 20, or 10. If you aready know about this, sorry, but it is the only thing that comes to my mind.
haluzzak Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 I think you should fix it in nifskope, I just do not know how.
Andy14 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Is the effect synonymous without glasses? Vanilla eyes or mod?
haluzzak Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 Even without glasses. it does so with both mod and vanilla.
Aegis Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 The problem's not with the texture. It has to do with improperly exported meshes. Notice how the red gemstone pendant also disappeared when viewed up close - same issue, bad mesh. F4 is very finicky when it comes to meshes. I ran into this issue myself, and I did some tests. Issues such as missing weight, bad vertex color, bad normal, etc. can trip up the game engine, and unfortunately there's not much you can do besides importing the problem mesh back into 3ds, fix the issue, export. Changing the vertex precision from 16 bit to full precision might also help, maybe try that first. You can set the flag in nifskope, import, and export again.
Di3sIrae Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Interesting to know, never had (and never saw) this kind of problem in FO4.
