player HDT issues (NPC's are fine)

i installed the triss armor mod today, and found that the HDT aspect of the armor is not working correctly with my player, however when putting the armor on an NPC it works correctly.

this image shows the same armor (only a recolour) on my player (left) and my follower on the right.

upon doing some research, i tried going through BodySlide and doing fixes through that program. i have tried batch building the armor with my chosen body type, however it has not been successful.

despite the armor looking normal in the preview, once i load back into skyrim, the breasts and butt models are waaay too big.

There are only 52 mods installed right? Looking at the image there appears two different outfits of different colors, yes?  So we're not talking about the same outfit performing differently on the player vs the follower.  If your follower comes from a separate mod then you could have different body nifs, otherwise you are sharing the female body. Are you using Mod Organizer or NMM?

 

UPDATE

You must have more than the 52 plugins in your mod list. I don't see XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extension which is required for HDT.

 

Also, you should definitely swap out the HiRes textures for Optimized Vanilla Textures.

Go with Sofia (your follower?) in an interior, e.g. Breezehome and close the game.
Then look in hdtPhysicExtension.log (in Data\SKSE\plugins\) which xml will be loaded after the last cell change - or upload your log.
You use a vanilla race, right?

 

@oldrayzor: The xmpse.esp is not necessary for HDT PE and HDT SMP.
