xenic Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 I have a mod I made, Xen's Overpowered Rifles. I really want a custom mesh for it but I have no clue how to take the file I want into the file it needs to be. Included is the blender file I want to use. I know I need to go from Blender to OBJ to Nif but I don't know how. I really need an "explain to me like I'm 5" tutorial to really get this or someone to help me over discord. I would appreciate someone just doing it for me but I would also like to know how to do it for myself. Link to mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19391 Blend File: Plasma rifle omicron.blend I know it doesn't have any textures but won't it be assigned a default/blank texture?
Andy14 Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 You can directly import obj - files into Nifskope. Select the root and file -> Import. Important: The mesh must be triangulated. In the Blender export triangulation can be selected. Also the axes z - Up should be used in the export dialog of Blender. Here a Nif-Test file from your blender. riffle_nifTest.nif PS: By the way: This is a raw nif - no textures, materials - nothing. I only used your blender and no mods. I hope it is not a problem.
