SLAL FunnyBizness Crash

Recommended Posts

So i began to play skyrim again, downloaded everything i needed without problem expect with the SLAL version of FunnyBizness anim, it make my game crash each time i try to continue my game with the animations activated.

I use SH, RZ, Milky Nibbles, Billy's and Komanim SLAL packs.

i read i had to remove animations from FB SLAL pack but don't know wich one.

It pretty much doesn't matter which animations you remove afaik. The total amount is the problem, not specific animations, and FBs pack has a LOT. My recommendation would be to use a different profile if you're using MO with FB only, check at least a good amount of animations and see which of the packs in the FOMOD installer you can dismiss without regrets.

I have no clue about NMM and if it offers something similar... an easy way to start a new game with different mods and then going back, but that would be the easiest way.

If you can't do that or you want some animations of all FOMOD packs you could create your own SLAL pack with exactly the animations you want, but i never did that myself.

That's the good/bad thing about FB. He's an amazing animator, but he's so prolific with his work that it's impossible to have them all in one game. Pick only one or two categories from the FOMOD installation per MO profile or you'll quickly exceed the animation total allowed by the game and get that damn CTD.

So does it mean the game crash because is have to much animations in general ?

Yes. Too many animations means the game crashes. There is no fix for it because it's an issue with the game engine itself.

Just grab the XXL version of FNIS.

If it does not solve it, post any extra possible info (logs, dumps, etc.)

If you have already FNIS XXL then just get rid of some anims you don't like.

"Poses" use tons of anims with little benefit, for instance.

Your numbers don't sound too high, i definitly have more, but... well. It's not only the raw numbers that count, so far is certain. Unfortunatly, that's pretty much the end of knowledge about this topic. Since there are different categories of animations, there is the theory that these categories have their own limits and you've possible exceeded one. Another theory is that (certain kinds of) scripts somehow reduce the amount of animations that can be installed. It might be something alltogether, nobody kows for sure. That's why Fore (the author of FNIS) can't add a warning that you're exceeding this limit if you do.

It has more or less always been a thing with FBs pack because it's really huge, but became more common recently after the DDi update from 4.0 to 4.1. One reported that uninstalling all mods with animations and the FNIS output, then reinstalling them and running FNIS again allowed higher numbers than before. It might be a bug in Mod Managers or FNIS, but both NMM and MO users are affected and... a lot of things are possible, after a lot of tests from a lot of people none of them sounds too promising.

Not sure which advice i should give you right now except maybe to reinstall your animated mods (all of them, including DDi and sexlab if i got that right) and try again or reduce the numbers further.

*edit: Just read that you have the sexlab beta for SE. Are you actually playing on SE? Did you make sure every mod you have installed is the SE version?

The FNIS output might be a thing that helps, somewhere on LL is a thread how to create mini-dumps to track down CTDs, never used it myself though, the common logs you get from papyrus don't help much with crashes... it's rather meant to find other bugs in mods like NPCs missing or something like that.

Huh sexlab beta for SE ? I don't play on SE and i don't download anywhere else than the Skyrim Download section of LL (not SE).
