gingerd Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 I've been trying (without much success) to get Fallout models into Blender and I've run into a few snags. I can get nif files into blender easily enough, but I've been struggling to find a way to get at the contents of esp files or converting the texture files (BSGM?) into a simple image file I can edit. I've sen ways to turn the textures into json files, but that won't let me edit the files the way I need to. Hopefully someone here has some ideas.

I feel your pain.............I've tried to get Niftools to install into Blender for some time now, and they just flat refuse to do so! ?
Andy14 Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 BGSM - Material files BGEM - Effect Files - the same, but more features (alpha blending etc.) In this container are the dds. You can open, edit and create new with Material Editor by ousnius: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3635/ Are the texture in archive, you must extract the ba2 before. For example with: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17061/
