Hi Iam new here and I just finished installing oblivion to my computer and I'm really confused like really I start at some kind of jail and I don't really want to play the game ,I just got the game for the BBB mod, nude mod, Claudia's little secret, lovers with pk , but the females from the game alone look awful they don't look as smooth as the BBB and Claudia's little secret videos I've watched, the faces also look horrible I have no clue of what to do next to mod the game. I need help at installing all these mods and textures and all that stuff I suck at these kind of things like super suck D:

so if someone has the time to assist me it would be very appreciated :D

To change the vanilla NPC's looks (and your own) you need beauty mods like Xeo or MBP.

How to install Xeo: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=13

How to install MBP: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=11051 and http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=1602

For more info on what does what try reading this: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=30 (Read post 1 and 2).

Welcome to the lab. :)

Find your Oblivion/data folder. Then it's just a matter of putting the files in the right subfolders.

Then get oblivion mod manager and install it.

Run it and the mods should show up, just check them, arrange them in the order I put in my first post, and play the game. Simple.

Just letting you know. MBP is THE MOST complicated mod to install in oblivion, even with guides. I suggest doing other mods first to get the hang of it before tackling MBP.

After you have a few basic mods installed, then you should get OBSE (Oblivion script extender, most advanced mods require it) and go try to install mods that require it.

Remember! Make sure you pay attention to the "requirements" sections of the readmes. And make sure you double check everything is in the right folders. Nine times out of ten, if something is messed up you put something where it wasn't supposed to go.

All of the answers you are looking for are in those links I gave you. It may sound harsh not giving you ready answers, but believe me that you will need to quite a bit of reading to understand things or you will just end up frustrated with a broken game.

Hi Larry,

It'll be better for you to play the game a bit even if you're not really interested in it. At some point it'll come in handy.

I suggest you start with the basic, install OBMM, OBSE then browse here or the Nexus or other sites to find a little mod you like, preferably an omod and try to install, play then deinstall it.

Trust me, going slow will be rewarding at the end as this way you won't get frustrated.

As for body replacers, best for now is to simply browse the Nexus, try one, then another etc.

The mods you want to play are, unfortunately, amongst the most complicated to install. Oblivion is very old so most players are experienced hence method of installation became scarce and directed toward semi-expert.

Go slow and post your problems step by step, we'll be there!

Cheers!

Try looking up 'HGEC' on a site called 'tesnexus'. Like I said when you download the mod, unpack it and put it in the right folders (it should come labeled with the mod). Then it's just a matter of opening OBMM and making sure everything is checked and in the right order.

Body replacers don't even require anything to be checked in OBMM, so just put it in the right folder! It's going to look bad though, until you get a texture replacer.

Please read this: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ

No doubt you have installed oblivion to the default location in the programs file. With Windows 7 (or Vista) that is a NO, NO! Uninstall the game and reinstall it to a place "outside" of the program files directory.

Examples that work well:

C:\Games\Oblivion

C:\Oblivion

If you leave the game installed in the default location you won't be able to install and play the game with mods as UAC and permissions issues will plague you until you scream!

Most mods you can just drop into the data folder if your lazy then active the esp mod using Oblivion Mod Manager (OMM).

But it may take you a little longer if you use the create function in OMM you can easily add/remove mods as needs be (really good for things that alter basics like npcs, textures, skeletons ect).

Get your 7.zip go to create > add archive then name the mod and create then all you need to do is double click it to activate it.

sometimes this won't always work so you'll need to extract the achive and folder and find the data folder or just drop it into your data folder.

you may as well get boss too since it sorts most mod into the right order (not always).

btw i have my Oblivion in the default location and yes it messes up sometimes but usually uninstalling and reinstalling mods fixs it but i really wish i would of installed it somewhere else.

for 1 mod work perfectly fine...you need 8 or 10 more mods...Awesome Mods Logic :aliensguy:

Rome wasn't built in a day. If you want to get a really good and fairly complicated mod then it will have dependencies. Them's the breaks....:P

Go here: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=13

In the OP (under the pictures) there is a spoiler - click on it.

Follow those instructions "To the Letter!" and you will be fine.

Miss\skip one step and your borked. :(

Also make certain you have installed either UOP (unofficial oblivion patches) or the KT custom race fix. Both can be had from the nexus. If you lack one of those then the game freaks out about custom races.

ok when it says to delete those textures does it means from the oblivion data folder? I got confused with that too and also just follow the guide you just gave not the readmes?:

2a)Delete Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Characters\XEOM folder

2b)Delete Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\Textures\XEOT folder

also this "Delete xeox.esp" that xeox file is inide the XEO folder already how am i suppose to erase it i don't get it

thanks!!

Yes. follow the 1st posts instructions and delete the folders and files it tells you to, or the mod won't work worth a shit.

Do NOT follow the readme's. They are wrong. This is one of the few times you ignore the readme and go with the instructions in the OP.

You delete XeoX.esp and the folders "after" you have installed XeoSP v1.0! You will find the esp file in oblivion\data\

First one is some LPK animation with Middas' wing. Try Middas' mod it's great for special effects and the side quests are really nice looking. But deinstall it to play CLS.

The second is CLS as stated in the title... This is not released yet, this will be for Gold Edition.

The third, judging by the atrociously clipping animation is probably an early LPK with bad calibration.

The Forth looks like a correctly and not so clipping LPK basic animation package too.

As you're new to modding, I suggest you don't try LPK yet, it's by far the more complex to install.

How are your NPCs/PC already? Did you manage to install a nice body and texture replacer?

Cheers.
