The same reason catbox and cubeupload and pixxxels have issues.

Ā

That shit is 100% unsecure at several points in the chain and if someone wants to inject some shit you're never going to know it happened until your AV catches that shit two months later and your mortgage payment is going to some [insert notorious country with lax policing] money laundering scheme.

I realized that Yandex mail is based on a Russian system that claims that people can register a mail address without a phone number. But then people get a problem by getting an inevitable message about how their mail is so-called hacked. This then forces them into entering a phone number if they did not register with one already. If they do not enter the phone number, then they will not be able to use their Yandex mail anymore. This happens whether you use Yandex's official website or not. Just saying so this can be recorded online, so people can figure out why Yandex will waste someone's time.

Do not fucking ever deal with anything Russian if you know what isĀ  good for you.

Mail.ru group, Yandex, Kaspesky and Dr.Web - all of them actually belong to Russian FSB which is just a KGB under new name. They save and read everything you write or send through. Kaspersky itself nothing but a data miner and its targeting your private data, sending it directly to FSB agents. In fact its noteven a secret that "former" agents employed in Kaspersky lab. That been said - Russian themselves have a saying "There is no former agents" meaning that anyone claiming to be retired in fact doing informant's job at least.

Russian state doing a lot of effort to control and censor the Internet. Any Russian based resource presently under constant surveillance or downright created by state security to steal private information. Never trust anything Russian period. Its worse than Chinese. They also troll everything based outside of Russia, been unable to control it directly they just aiming to overflow it with BS. In this case their agenda is simple - if they can't shut something down (or disrupt by direct attack like DDoS) they troll it to shit with seemingly unlimited army of bots. Just a thing to remember - a quarter or entire Russian budget is a state secret and this not counting military spending!
