Z0mBieP00Nani Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Long story short I recently downloaded a mod called Junkmaster for the PC and the mod adds the Sexy Sleepwear back into the game in addition to a number of other things, ANYWAY at first I noticed that the sleepwear was using the fallout 4 vanilla body, that was unacceptable so I had to make a Body Slide set for it, THEN I wanted it transparent, so I looked online and followed some tutorials and in Body Slide everything looked fine, "fire and forget", that sort of thing... WRONNNG! Basically I'm trying to get the outfit to look the way it does in Body Slide instead of like it has been eaten by moths (which is how it looks both in game AND in NifSkope)..... What it looks like in Body Slide (how it is SUPPOSED to look)... The horse shit I'm getting in game... I swear... it's never easy, is it?..
Andy14 Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 Alpha blending in FO4 is only supported in effect-files. Not in bgsm files and not in the nif itself. Only as bgem-file.

Z0mBieP00Nani Posted June 19, 2018 Author Posted June 19, 2018 What do I have to do with that file? If you're talking about a material file, I have one of those. Why couldn't it have just been as easy as it was in Skyrim? If it ain't broke, don't fix it..

Then save as bgem file and change the file name for material in the Nif. Of course, in the Nif of Outfitstudio - should be your project in ShapeData. Material Editor doesn't seem to have bgem as a selectable option.. Changing the file type manually doesn't work either, apparently.
Andy14 Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Fallout was a long time ago for me - so maybe I'm not up to date. You can not manually save a bgsm as bgem? That would really surprise me. Actually, the files are not different - only the creation engine makes a difference. If you REALLY can not save, make a backup and rename it manually in bgem. I do not know if ousnius has implemented any logic. Then correct the material file in the nif (from bgsm to bgem) I hope bgem has a valid value for alpha blending???

If I change the file name manually it won't let me open it again in Material Editor, it just gives me an error message. I'm not sure if that means it won't work in game as well.
Z0mBieP00Nani Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 I got it working, finally. I looked at the meshes and texture files from the Skyrim outfits conversion mod, and copied that, and now it works.
