DarkFlame277 Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Hello, I'm getting random CTDs and I don't know what the cause is. I've been trying to figure it out for 3 days but haven't really gotten any where..... If someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it and I will love you forever ❤️ Modwatch: https://modwat.ch/u/Smasher277/ (so sorry for the long list) Papyrus log: Papyrus.0.log Crash Dump: 2018-06-14_02.19.18.dmp (if you want some previous ones I can provide them too) Thanks
Baron Of Hell Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Well here is a list of things that can cause CTD. Using mods in form 43 Using mods from LE that haven't been optimized for SE Not using merged patch, bash patch and/or Smash patch Not using SSE Engine Fixes Using a bad combo of skeleton, meshes, and physics models bad load order, use LOOT but don't blinding trust it using mods from people that obviously have no idea what they are doing installing mods mid game uninstalling mods mid game Running out of ram or vram Running other apps while playing especially apps that use vram bad textures usually from a LE mod Not installing mod correctly Leaving out requirements for mods using dirty mods having to many plugins, this is different for everybody. Failing to clean your save when needed corrupted save, some times the game will allow you to load a corrupted save but the gave will become unstable You'll probably have to give a little more details. What have you actually tried to fix the problem? What were you doing during the crashes? Where the crashes in a specific location? Where the crashes in inside cells or outside cells? Is it crashing while loading?
DarkFlame277 Posted June 15, 2018 Author Posted June 15, 2018 Yeah sorry, I know I should have more stuff but I was frustrated and couldn't think of what to say. Anyway, I wasn't experiencing this problem until recently. It's not in a specific location, it happens randomly in any location. Any mod that I have installed from Oldrim I converted myself and they seem to work fairly fine. I have a 1080 Ti so I'm not running out of RAM. I have SSE Engine Fixes with the default ini settings. I don't know how to use the Smash patch thing or Bash patch but maybe I'll learn one day. And none of my mods are dirty. I'm about to do some more testing myself, I think I know the problem now but I could be wrong again. I'll post back with the result soon.
DarkFlame277 Posted June 15, 2018 Author Posted June 15, 2018 Ok yeah, it would seem that SSE Engine Fixes conflicts with Audio Overhaul 3's SNCT thing so turning off SaveAddedSoundCategories in SSEEF's ini seemed to fix it. I played for about 40 mins with no crash. Yay! @Baron Of Hell thanks for trying to help
