[HELP] Legate Rikke speech not continuing... (Battle for Whiterun Imperial Side)

I got to this point where she gives a speech but it always stop like this: "This is it men! This is an important day for the Empire and for the Legion. And for all of Skyrim."

I can continue the quest tho by hurting her and then yielding and then the battle will start.
Though after the battle, Jarl Balgruf is supposed to deliver a speech too but it doesn't continue too.

Anyone experienced this problem?

We can't really help much without a load order and most of us don't like playing the guessing game as we have no clue what you have installed into your game.

"Setstage" in console command may help.

there was no way I'd fight Rikke, Tulius or the Thalmor. Their cuteness made me lose my will to fight. Now I don't even do the civil war quest.

 

anyways, post your load order if you can. It sounds like your having some issues with your game like the "thane of winter hold" thread. If I can't help, then surely some kind person could be more helpful than I.

It is also possible that this is a vanilla issue, the Civil War is notoriously buggy due to it being cut so drastically...

I've never seen the balgruf speech work and just have to use set stage command to get that quest out of the log. It is optional and does not stop the rest of the quests for the imperial civil war.

This will clear the return to yarl balgruf quest if he does not give the speech.

Anyway I found some suggestions that finishing the main quest can first may help solve this so I'll be trying that for now.

how doing quest x is supposed to do anything about quest y?

 

you had a stack dump

some script that update some global value were dump before doing their stuff

and... surprise

 

your npc probably still have an idle load by a dialog

that idle have highter priority than next stuff, so game can't load that stuff

maybe hitting the npc get the got hit idle, that may get the next stuff load before the highter idle that get the npc stuck get load again

if that npc turn hostile because you have hit him 3 times, how are you supposed to get the next quest from him

if you can get that quest, because for the npc to propose it, you need global value x set to y, and if that wasn't done because of a stack dump, have fun with with all those console commands for the ones that break the civil war
