A few notes: I haven't installed the rest of my texture mods yet. I'm trying to get this crap to work as is right now. I have the Unofficial Skyrim Patch Legendary Edition. I don't quite know how to copy my mod list. I'm using NMM and it works well for me - I don't like MO, I won't go back to it. Can anyone help? I'll definitely work with you, I want to get this resolved so I can get to playing my game. Thanks so much!

We will need to see your load order. I do not know how to get that from NMM as I havnt used that in ages. If you have Loot like you should, and have it properly setup, you can open that and click the three dots at the upper right hand corner and select copy load order. Paste that into a spoiler.

I came to you guys because I know I won't get judged here for any mods, since plenty of them come from here lol. I use LOOT frequently, especially after not having played Skyrim for a bit, just to make sure everything is loaded properly.

Use Crash Fixes. In its CrashFixplugin.ini make sure to set UseOSAllocators=1. Crash Fixes requires SKSE Plugin Preloader to work. Install both manually.

If you are using SafetyLoad or Continue Game no Crash, get rid of them.

You are using the mod Realistic Ragdools. XPMSE includes Realistic level of ragdolls built into it, so you wont need that anymore.

Install ENBoost if you haven't already. Helps with memory mangement, which helps reduce CTDs.

And there's a whole list of things, none of which explicitly say that it's the correct ENBoost to use. Which one is the one that I need? I assume 'Patch', but I want to be sure.

Make sure you do this part:

This version require helper mod to run per weather setups (if not used, then ignore helper mod), download it from link in readme.
bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 must be set in SkyrimPrefs.ini file to make this mod work. Start SkyrimLauncher.exe to configure your video options again.
Sky lighting to work correctly require rendering objects to shadow, so edit manually following lines in file SkyrimPrefs.ini:
bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1
bShadowsOnGrass=1

FYI - Always get it from the dev site and not the Nexus.

It's not difficult to install and configure and if it's happy you will see a message in the top left-hand of your screen as the game loads up. Don't be alarmed by the red text.

So I did exactly what you said, saw the message and the red text, and all seems to be working okay for now. No CTD's on fast travel, no infinite loading screens. I'll play for a while and if I have any more questions, I'll come back to this thread. Thank you both so much for your help thusfar! You guys are great

Result!

Keep in mind that you will never be completely free of CTDs with Skyrim. If, after playing a while, you are happy that your game is stable then start adding any other mods a couple at a time (until you break it again :bawling: ). Get a feel for what your game can handle.

I've noticed that every once in a while I have a CTD upon startup, but I've been playing and modding Skyrim long enough to know that the game is just hella buggy. I'm slowly adding my mods one at a time and tweaking things as I go, but the worst of it is, for now, behind me.

Yeah, now the Steam overlay isn't working, screenshots aren't working, and the FPS counter is missing from the corner of my screen. This is all unique to Skyrim, as it all still functions properly in Fallout 4. Any suggestions?

No idea what a Steam overlay is. Screenshots - check Skyrim.ini - [Display] - bAllowScreenshot=1. I don't bother with FPS so no idea on that one either.

Screenshots are enabled. It’s just not taking them. Screenshotting in Steam is F1, and nothing happens at all. Hm.

Have you tried PrtScn key?

Is it not taking them or is it perhaps putting them in a non-Steam location? I hit PrtScn and they go in the main Skyrim folder. Sounds like some sort of Steam problem - something overwritten, maybe?
