MoralVirgin Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 I've tried to read some of the sticky notes but they seem to general for this. I dont know I'm a modding novice. I just want to run my problem past you guys and see if it is something minor that can be solved. Â I wanted to play the Devious Cursed Loot mod so I downloaded the mod and all of the required files for it. I extracted all of them in the "data" folder for Skyrim. When I look at the data files when I boot up Skyrim, Devious Cursed Loot does not show up as option to select. I've tried extracting it again and redownloading it and still noting. Â I've tried a few other mods as well, Immersive Pet Girl and Serial Stripper and the Heretical resources and they do show up in the data files but the game crashes when the bethesda logo fades and the skyrim logo pops up, if you're listening you here the "Thum...thumthum"Â and then it crashes. Â I had about a dozen mods I downloaded from Steam when I first got the game and IÂ tried disabling all of them to see if that would make a difference but no luck so far. I've tried changing the mod order to prioritize them and still noting. Â I feel like somewhere along the way I've not dotted an i or crossed a t or something. Â Any help is much appreciated! Â
myuhinny Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Crash at the beth logo is almost always a missing master or the master is below the one that needs it above it in the load order/  Download and run TES5edit it'll try to load all of the files you have installed into your game if it hits an error in your load order it'll stop and tell you why. Read it and then fix it next close TES5edit and restart it and keep doing this till it is able to load everything up without hitting anymore errors then try your game again.
MoralVirgin Posted May 28, 2018 Author Posted May 28, 2018 Thank you so much. That seems to have solved most of my problems. The mod loads up in the game, the only thing now is that the characters added dont have hair and their bodies are clear because their clothes (I guess) aren't "in the game"
Nazzzgul666 Posted May 31, 2018 Posted May 31, 2018 I'd strongly recommend to use a mod manager. Personally i'd say "mod organizer (v1.311, v2 is for the special edition and still has some bugs afaik), but really pretty much anything would be better than nothing.
