I got a question. Not really a race compatibility per-se, but is it possible to  add compatibility to the sleeker glitch mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=830754499&searchtext=sleeker)? Mostly because glitch tiddies, heh.

Hell, if you want I could sprite the stuff myself if the author gives permission to add compatibility... I can't code though.

Yeah, it's just a set of images (The Glitch support, specifically) so putting in your images with a priority higher than Sexbound, and you should replace them in the game.

Permission is the hard part though. Most Starbound mods were made back in 2017~2020, and the creators make them and go take a walk in the woods, never to be heard of again. Which is to say, contacting them is the hardest part. If they answer with a simple yes/no, then you're good, otherwise you really gotta sit around for over a month to count the mod as effectively abandoned.

It's not there unfortunately, but it sounds like the race got the green light from the author so I can probably expect at one point sooner or later, thanks anyways.

So does this mean the Arcana races are off the table even thought the dev approved? I mean, I understand how further updates of the mod would change or break anything being done to the planets, armor, and whatnot, but how would a race compatibility patch be affected unless the dev is modifying each species every update? Unless the 'patches for patches' thing is because they're adding new races, in which case, is it possible to just make a compatibility patch for each individual race as they're added rather than a blanket patch for all of the current ones that would require updating every time a new species gets made?

That's not a go-ahead in my eyes, simply a "what you do in private is your thing". So do it in private, which means no public race compat.

Making the compat mod isn't all that hard - there should also still be a guide flying around. The bigger problem is the sprites, which are 90% of the work, and most everyone I know of the still active people are busy with way bigger projects. So we'd need someone to do that just as well.

You might want to ask them to clarify whether that means yes or no. Because that answer seems a bit vague to me.

Sorry for the sudden bump, so i was going to make an addon for the bossmonsters race regarding their missing armors the other day and i thought i'd ask the author for permission as in for the sexbound patch, not long after i got a reply:

"About the first request, feel free to do so, but I gotta warn you that I am developing an successor for this mod, focusing on another faction. The Dreemurrers are going to be also playable, but at launch they might still not be completed, so yeah, the armors are fine.

I can't confirm you when I'm going to release a stable version for this successor, but I was working on it a couple of days ago and it wont take too long.

About the second request, I really don't care about addons for this mod be it NSFW or SFW, but that doesn't mean I'm confortable with it, I just really don't care enough."

One, that obviously refers to "modpacks" not addons/modifications of the mod.
Two, FU's fans would literally harass anyone making it out of the universe.
