Lines
Every card now has its own lines: an opener, a success, a partial success, a refusal, and a witness line where a witness can actually see the card. Charisma changes the wording. A low score is blunt. A high score is smoother. For about seven in-game days, the next meeting uses a second wording, so the pair does not repeat the same sentence.

Affair lines stay short. The lie they can reuse is "We were just talking." Open lines ask for a yes. The breach line, "I thought you had told them.", is only on group plans, and only if someone in the room was never told. Friends with benefits stays casual. Ending it removes only that label. The friendship stays.

The spouse, the person who saw it, and the person who only read the paper each have their own lines. The paper rumor can name the wrong place.

Feelings
These are new emotions, and each one runs out: Secrecy, Thrill, Ease, Detached warmth, Shame, Rejection, Suspicion, Anger, Hurt, Unease, Curious, and Judging.

A private affair leaves Secrecy. A public affair leaves Thrill. A real Open agreement leaves Ease. Friends with benefits leaves Detached warmth. A failed card can leave Shame or Rejection. A direct witness feels Suspicion. A spouse who saw an affair feels Hurt, and it lasts longer. An exclusive partner feels Anger. Someone who only read the paper feels Curious or Judging, shorter and lighter than a witness.

Those feelings change the next hand. Suspicion, Hurt, and Anger favor a confrontation and the cold cards. Thrill favors the public affair card. Ease favors a boundary, a renegotiation, or an introduction. Judging makes warm cards harder for both Paras. When the feeling ends, that push ends. A new incident refreshes the timer. It does not become a permanent debuff.

Answers
A spouse confrontation and a witness confrontation are different cards. If the accused is believed, the heat stays up. When those two hold the affair, being believed can end it. When the affair is with someone else, Affair comes off later, on a card with the affair partner. That card removes only Affair.

Denial uses "We were just talking." The strong feeling drops. The secret stays, so the paper slows, and a person who saw it is not forgotten.

At home, a spouse who knows gets private cards: talk, promise to end the affair, or accept Open. Married stays. This file does not end a marriage.

Coworkers get one restrained public line. No scene, no secret, and no new label. There is no neighbor line.

Storyteller
Three offers. You refuse by not playing the card. One adds a level to a label that is already there. One is a line when the paper has printed. One is a line when the talk has cooled. Town NPCs do not start an affair, an Open arrangement, or friends with benefits on their own.

The card where a witness tells one friend is not in this file.

The New Paper can still print one sentence about a private arrangement in the household. No scene. It prints once for that incident, and only while a strong secret and the strong feeling are both still on someone.
