About This File
Â
This mod adds several jewellery pieces to the game in my 'ancient nord' theme.
Â
First some background information:
It's been over 5 years since I made this mod, time flies by... Back then it marked my 10-year anniversary of my first publicly shared mod.
To be honest, I wasn't too happy about the implementation of this mod, it was just another 'craft the new items in-game' implementation. I wanted it to be part of the game, and to exist outside of the player's influence, outside of crafting menus.
But I always hesitate when it comes to editing LevelLists, there are many mods out there which do that already, and each would be a conflict, with it's own patch, which is something I want to avoid.
This version just does that, with the magic of SPID. Now every female draugr has a small chance to wear the items. Yes. Wear. Not just in their inventory, around their neck, on their fingers. I made extra models that fit the draugr and implemented them. Because immersion is everything.
Now the items can be part of the game, not just inside crafting menus. And all that without touching LevelLists, so the incompatibilities should be minimal, if there are any at this point.
Â
I did exesive testing off all this, however I am relativly new to such a implementation, so if something is not working as it should, please let me know.

Those are:
- a circlet
- two belly piercings
- earrings
- two amulets
- a ring (for left and right hand)
- nipple piercings (3 variants, left, right, both) those items can be combined but not crafted
What's new?
- Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID) is a hard requirement now
- Added some items to the mix, rings, amulets, etc. Please see the screenshots.
- The circlet is now also available for Argonians and Khajiit
- With the exception of the earrings, all items are available for male and female characters
- Earrings are now fully integrated
- Changed all crafting options, except those that alter items, e.g., circlets for different hairstyles. Now you are able to melt down the items you find and get an "Ancient Nord Alloy". This can be done at any smelter. The alloy can then be used to craft the items at the skyforge if you have the perk 'Advanced Armours'. So if someone is unlucky with the drops, all you have to do is grind a bit (I hope that's fair enough).
- Models for female draugr: Every female draugr has a small chance to wear one of the items (or several). The change is set by the distribution INI It is set at a chance of around 2-5% by default, to keep them special. If you want to tinker around, do so. Your game, your rules.
- Additional NPC distribution. Each item type (amulet, ring, earrings, etc.) can be distributed to any NPC if you want to, I curated some NPCs by default, but mostly just to have an example for those who want to tinker around themselves
- An optional file for Immersive Icons, which requires KID
Â
Important note:
The nipple piercings are deactivated by default, meaning they have no spawn rate. If you wish them to be integrated:
- Open the Ave Ancient Jewelry_DISTR.ini
- find the line:
;Spell = 0x37~Ave Ancient Jewelry.esp|ActorTypeUndead|NONE|NONE|NONE|NONE|5
- remove the ';' at the beginning so it looks like this:
Spell = 0x37~Ave Ancient Jewelry.esp|ActorTypeUndead|NONE|NONE|NONE|NONE|5
- Save the file
- possible mods which alter the body model of female draugr, please let me know if you find any and we can see if I can add patch files
- If draugr have modded helmet options it is possible that those are ignored (I put a logic into place to restrict the circlet from being added to actors which wear the vanilla draugr helmets, yet if a mod extands this selection, it is possible that the circlet is worn alongside the helmet. (will not look good)
Â
- run fomod and make your choices
- run bodyslide and generate the bodymodels
- activate the mod
