Reusable effect systems for U666 pills, drugs, and other XCL mods

U666 Effect and Side Effect Cores

For X-Change Life 0.25.9
 

These mods provide reusable Effects and Side Effects used by a number of my other X-Change Life mods.

They generally do not give the player an effect by themselves.

Instead, pills, drugs, Spike Fun scenarios, and other mods can apply one of these effects and let the shared Effect Core handle what that effect actually does.

This keeps the underlying mechanics in one place instead of having every pill or story contain its own copy.

Downloads

U666 Effects Core

The main shared Effects package.

Most of the smaller effect modules I previously released separately have now been consolidated into this one package.

Install Effects Core whenever another U666 mod lists it as a requirement.

Current shared systems include:

Continue

Allows compatible transformation effects to extend the current pill duration when the PC orgasms.

Continue-style products can also interact with the shared pill-permanence system.

Known uses include:

• Continue payloads used by Spike Fun

• X-Tender / Continue integrations

Easily Aroused

Makes positive arousal gains substantially stronger while the effect is active.

Known uses include:

• Spike Fun generated and altered pill payloads

• authored pills or scenarios using Easily Aroused

Girly Girl

Causes qualifying orgasms to gradually soften the PC's masculine self-image and reduce Reluctance during a temporary course.

A permanent version can continue producing slower long-term changes.

Known uses include:

• Spike Fun effect payloads

Identity Loss

Provides shared support for effects and products capable of damaging or destabilizing the PC's identity.

This includes source tracking and support for temporary or permanent Identity Loss consequences.

Known uses include:

• Tabula Rasa

• supported Spike Fun scenarios and payloads

Insatiable

Creates persistent sexual pressure rather than simply applying a one-time burst of arousal.

The effect can maintain an arousal floor, produce recurring surges, and—in sufficiently heavy or repeated exposure—leave lingering conditioning.

Known uses include:

Intellect Drain

Allows compatible effects to reduce the PC's Intellect following orgasm.

Known uses include:

• Spike Fun generated and altered pill payloads

Milk Effects

Provides the shared system for milk- and breast-related effects, including:

• lactation support;

• increased milk production;

• Sensitive Breasts;

• milking reactions;

• post-milking urges.

Known products include:

Other compatible mods can also connect to the same effect system instead of creating separate versions of these mechanics.

Changes post-orgasm recovery so compatible characters may remain much closer to climax and achieve additional orgasms more easily.

Mutual Enjoyment

Allows the user's orgasm to produce a pleasurable response in other people involved in the scene.

Known uses include:

• Spike Fun generated and altered pill payloads

Pill Permanence

Provides shared tracking for pills whose transformation or effects may become permanent through orgasm or another qualifying trigger.

It does not make transformations permanent on its own; compatible products determine when and how the risk applies.

Known uses include:

• Continue

• Resistance Plus

Male Masturbation Fail

Provides the shared mechanic used when an effect prevents a male PC from successfully orgasming through masturbation.

Known uses include:

• Hold-Out

• Hold-Out Maxx

The core includes safe fallback media using existing XCL assets.

The separate Male Masturbation Fail MEDIA package is optional and provides dedicated media for these failure scenes.

Submissive Pleasure

Provides reusable handling for effects where submissive or passive sexual situations produce additional pleasure.

This is a shared effect mechanic for other U666 content rather than a standalone product.

Shared Effect Support

Effects Core also contains support systems used behind the scenes by multiple effects, including:

• effect-source tracking;

• orgasm knowledge and discovery;

• suppression/antidote compatibility;

• permanent-effect bookkeeping;

• handling consequences that occur while part of the PC's body is temporarily unavailable or transformed.

These systems mainly exist so individual drugs, pills, and stories do not each need their own competing implementation.

U666 HGH Effect Core

The HGH effect remains a separate package because it is substantially larger and more specialized than the general Effects Core.

HGH causes the PC's bodily fluids to carry unstable growth signals capable of affecting male partners during sex.

The HGH system can track:

• temporary and permanent HGH states;

• multiple sources of HGH exposure;

• effect potency;

• growth affecting male partners;

• whether a partner has previously been exposed;

• reactions from affected or remembered partners;

• social rumor and reputation behavior;

• effect strengthening under supported conditions;

• possible permanent development;

• configurable HGH behavior through mod settings.

 

The HGH Effect Core owns the HGH mechanic itself.

Other mods can decide how the PC acquires HGH and then hand the resulting effect to this core.

 

Known integrations include:

• Spike Fun

• Spike Fun – TD Chad

• Change Contagion HGH integration

 

Effects Core is not required merely to use the HGH Effect Core unless another installed mod specifically requires both.

Male Masturbation Fail MEDIA

Optional media package

The Male Masturbation Fail mechanic is already included in U666 Effects Core.

Without this media package, the system uses appropriate existing XCL masturbation media as a fallback.

Installing Male Masturbation Fail MEDIA replaces those fallbacks with dedicated failure-scene media.

Install it if you want the additional visuals.

It is not required for the underlying mechanic to function.

IMPORTANT: Remove Old Standalone Effect Cores

Earlier versions of these effects were distributed as a collection of separate mods.

Do not install those old individual cores alongside the current U666 Effects Core.

The consolidated core replaces older standalone packages including:

If Mod Loader reports one of these as incompatible with U666 Effects Core, remove the older standalone version.

The current consolidated core is intended to replace it.

Installation

These are normal Mod Loader packages.

Install whichever packages your other mods require:

General U666 effects:
Install U666 Effects Core.

HGH content:
Install U666 HGH Effect Core when the mod using HGH requires it.

Dedicated male masturbation failure visuals:
Optionally install Male Masturbation Fail MEDIA.

Unlike the U666 Drugs and U666 Pills collection downloads, these packages are not a pick-and-choose collection ZIP that must first be unpacked unless the individual download specifically says otherwise.
