Hi all. I'm excited to present y'all my first mod! 

 

In brief

It's a mod helping you teleport between two doors. Two spells are added to the player to place the doors. It's kind of like the teleporting in Diablo, if you leave one door in the city. 

A quest will introduce you how to use it. A story included. 

 

Why I make this mod - Introduction

I like DD mods. But as we all know, playing skyrim with DD on you can be difficult, espectially when you disabled the fast travel function. Of course, you can enable it in MCM but the time will pass quickly and your arousal level will likely always be 100. 

You can always coc your character but it's not immersive. There are teleporting magic available. But for me, teleporting to anywhere you want seems too powerful. Increasing the magic cost will be a solution, but my dragonborn sometimes gets 0 max magic thanks to some other mods. 

So I got this idea. It's a restricted way to teleport your dragonborn, with just 20 magic cost. Besides having a way to be able to travel back to the city to ask for help, it can also be used in a battle. Place a door at the dungeon entrance to escape unexpected enermies. Or translocate rapidly in the battlefield to confuse the bandits. 

I want this mod to be immersive, so there will be a story line with multiple endings. Talk to NPCs and doors properly to get full function of the mod. Or else you'll have to pay, or wear some more DD every time you use the doors. 

 

In-Game Introduction

Farengar Secretfire had the dragon stone for a while. You believe he may learn something useful from the dragon stone. Go ask him about it. (note: quest only available after you finish bleak falls barrow)

 

Requirement

Cursed loot and everything required by it. 

 

Recommanded

1. The quest can be reset if you feel the doors are not working properly, or you already hit a bad end. Go ask Farenga to reset the quest. Actually, talk with Farengar anytime if you get stuck. 

2. Talk to the doors and NPCs carefully. You need to select right responses to hit the good end. But be careful, they might lie to you. 

3. It might not be wise to use the door when the character was restricted in a place by other quests. I'm not sure actually. 

4. Since we'll have to use cursed loot, all dialogues is desiged for female characters. 

 

Endings

She_end: you'll trigger a cursed loot event everytime you use "she" door

He_end: you'll have to pay "he" door to use it. But you may be able to get some money elsewhere. 

Good_end: You can use the door freely without any dialogue involved. Until "he" and "she" are able to talk with you again. No future braching of story will happen, though. 

 

Known issues

0. For some reason the spell might not work sometimes. If this happens, save the game and load it. 

1. I'm not a native English speaker so the dialogue might be weired sometimes... 

2. The mod work on my PC. But as a new modder, I'm not sure if I'm packing and uploading it correctly. Let me know if there are problems. 

3. The conversation with the doors can't be skipped. It's something related to CreationKit I believe. 

 

Future Plan

As you can see, it's a quite easy mod. This is actually just a practice for me. The next step for me is to make use of the amputation framework to enrich the experience of being defeated. I'm still learning but if you have any ideas, I'm glad to know.

Released

The door now is closer to the ground. 

Magical effect of summon spell lasts for 5 sec rather than severak days.
