So this entry will be split into two spoilers, if you don't want spoilers skip the first one which will be talking about me inadvertantly spoiling certain things in that game for myself (as well as others.)

Spoiler

So in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I ended up indvertantly spoiling who dies and who joins my party for myself, it's probably a sign of me playing or at least consuming a load of media so I could tell that the mentor character was going to die and that the enemy characters who didn't have any negativity to the main characters would end up joing your party. But it's not just Xenoblade that this has happened, it happened with Horizon Zero Dawn as well where I managed to spoil myself on Aloy's origins (As a clone) within the first hour or so of the game. Like I said it's probably because I've consumed so much media and can generally see the tropes and cliches present within it.

Spoiler

As for Xenoblade itself, I'm enjoying it so far there have been some moments that I felt were pointless but on the whole the story has kept me engaged. I also really like how most of the characters that aren't blades don't have American accents, although I still can't tell what accent Rex has it sometimes sounds Scottish, sometimes English and sometimes Australian, and part of the story has the Empire of Scotland at war with the Kingdom of Australia and it makes the world feel diverse rather than listening to the same Amerian VAs for the millionth time. Combat did feel clunky at first but once I got used to it I did start to enjoy it. Finally it has the best loot box system I've seen in a game, where you don't have to pay for them since they're random drops and you can influence what you get from them through stats called "ideas" which can be further boosted via boosters as well as through that character's luck stat and on top of that some of the common drops you get from them can end up far better than the rare ones. All in all I'm really enjoying my time with Xenoblade Chronicles 2, also Poppi is one of my favourite characters in it.
