So you can probably guessed what this entry is mostly going to be about, France won the world cup by beating Croatia 4-2. There were some controversial decisions in the match (both free kicks in the first half, that was never a yellow on Kante or a free kick however Griezmann did dive for the first.) However France showed their quality in both defence and attack although I think Croatia's midfield was by far stronger and Modric deserved his player of the tournement award, however I was getting tired with the English pundits and their bias towards Croatia, they showed all of France's mistakes and instances of leniency on the ref's part but I felt the ref was far more lenient towards Croatia and they didn't even bother going over the dive that lead to Croatia's goal. I honestly think that with the current group of players France can be a force in world football for the next few years, although the current team will undergo a few changes (replacements for Lloris (who was at fault for the second Croatia goal,) Matuidi and Giroud will be needed) but in general they've done really well and I believe that the prices of several of the France players will skyrocket as a result.

So that's it, the world cup is over for another 4 years so I'll go back to whining about Arsenal and the French league.
