So as the 2 in the title indicates this is my second entry on my thoughts on certain teams in the world cup and honestly I probably won't do anymore of these until the quarter/semi finals and onwards because I honestly can't be fucked. However I am interested in the Columbia vs Japan match but that's just one match.

But anyway the matches I'll be talking about are: Nigeria vs Croatia, Germany vs Mexico, Brazil vs Switzerland, Belgium vs Panama and England vs Tunisia.

But before any of that a bit of bitching about England during a world cup; they're fucking insufferable, to the point that I wanted England to lose against Tunisia (I usually don;t give two fucks about England) all because of a fucking advert during the matches that air on STV. Basically the gist of the ad is that the main "character" in it is so big a England fan that he's confidant that England will win the World Cup to the point where he gets a tattoo claiming that England will be the champions in 2018 and when the tattoo artist says he's just going to leave that bit blank the dude asks why? Then he shows it off to his Spanish neighbour saying that England will win the entire tournement and finally there's a bit with a wall chart where he claims he's working backwards from the final having England as the champions. now I'm all for national pride in your country's football team but those ads are taking the fucking piss.

So Nigeria vs Croatia. I knew Nigeria where going to lose but I was mostly watching it because Nigeria Iwobi is supposedly much better than Arsenal Iwobi and from what I saw of him in that match I'm starting to think he's just plain shite. Now loads of people will claim that he was played out of position and that he should be played as a number 10, but Iwobi isn't technically a number 10 he's supposed to be a left winger and he's piss poor. If I was Unai Emery I'd sell him to a mid table team to be done with him.

On to Germany vs Mexico and honestly Germany where poor and I'm wondering why Neur was in goal when he's spent the entire season injured, I'd have put ter Stegen in goal instead but more than that I feel that this German team are starting to show their age with Hummels making a stupid mistake and key players like Kroos and Ozil not performing. Too be honest Mexico deserved the win as they where constantly putting Germany under pressure and I feel that they should have had more goals. Germany need to pick it up a bit if they want to retain their title (although it's worth noting that the last team to do so had Pele playing for them.)

Brazil vs Switzerland, not going to lie I was watching this mainly for two reasons; Lichsteiner and Xhaka as well as Brazil apparently being amazing during qualifiers. And honestly I was very pleased to see how well Switzerland dealt with Neymar and prevented him from putting his stamp on the game, Coutinho's goal was amazing though and I was wondering why they let Neymar take the free kicks when Coutinho is so much better than him at them. Behrami also impressed me a lot in that game with how well he dealt with Neymar and preventing him from trying anything, hoenstly Brazil aren't that strong their first choice defensive partnership is too old (and David Luis is still too error prone) and Marcelo has a bad habit of just bombing forward leaving that left flank exposed.

With the Belgium vs Panama game I was very impressed with how Panam played (especially their right back and left winger) however they are easily the weakest team in the group and a Belgium win was always going to be on the cards but like many other big teams in this tournement Belgium had a slow start and they really should have won by more than 3-0 against one of the weakest teams in the competition, their overly defensive tactics didn't help them much though but even then Panama had a few chances that Belgium didn't deal with despite the fact that they're better players and were playing defensively. De Bruyne being played out of position didn't help matters and Hazard was far too selfish which resulted in Lukaku not getting the service he needed.

And the final match England vs Tunisia, England (despite what the ENGLISH pundits and the ENGLISH media are saying) were poor, they beat Tunisia 2-1 but they did not play well enough to get a win out of that match. Overall fuck England, they can fuck off with their stupid fucking ad (I don;t even know what they're advertising) that I mentioned above and they can off with 1966, it was 52 years ago let it rest. Also the media needs to lay off the players before and during a world cup I'm pretty sure Raheem Sterling would have played better if the media didn't decide he was going to be the scapegoat for the tournement and pile in on him about his tattoos, eating habits, clothing and other incosequential shit THAT DOESN'T FUCKING MATTER AND IS NONE OF THEIR FUCKING BUSINESS. And people wonder why so many people (including some of their own fucking fans) hate England...
