Just using this entry to vent a little since I had a shitshow of a shift today and I need to mona about it for a bit.

So the shitshow starts before I even start work where one of the guys I work with sends me a message over PSN Messenger (I have it on my phone) about how the was someone off sick for checkouts and when there's even just one person off it all goes to shit and someone from another department (read: from Dry Good, my department) needs to go bail them out this resulted in my colleague being stuck on checkouts for TWO AND A HALF HOURS meaning he barely got the juice delivery done whereas I was told to do the Booze delivery and frozen while elaving grocery to the new start who didn't show up for his shift today and whilst annoying and completely fucking us I'm not going to censure him for it since I think he may have gotten his weeks mixed up which is easily done when you have a contract like his which is split into two different weeks (basically he's in on one set of days one week but a different set the other week) but what he does need to fix is the fact that my work doesn;t have a contact number for him so we couldn't phone him up to ask where the fuck he was so that resulted in the entire grocery delivery getting left. So in addition to this I was stuck on booze, which I'm not all that confident with and with fuck all in terms of motivation and moral makes it take even longer meaning I had to leave frozen which was just as big of a clusterfuck as juice was in terms of overs being left all over the fucking place, by the way juice was a clusterfuck which is why my colleague took so long on it since he needed to fix the mess, juice is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more visible than frozen is, and then there's the fact that I lose around an hour of stock working time due to bringing in the 9PM delivery, my 20 minute break as well as assorted other shite like empting the bailer, helping customers or helping checkouts so that brings down a 6 hour shift to a 5 hour one in terms of working stuff. But anyway the main complaint: I didn't get ANY assistance and all I was wanting was someone to at least make a start on the grocery delivery which honestly pisses me off that my department that helps out the most with other departments (especially fucking checkouts) and while there was no one on checkouts and fresh/produce who could realistically help (checkouts where fucked staff wise and fresh/produce had newbies working and was fucked as well) but there were two managers in who did FUCKING NOTHING all shift (except for mess up the fresh chiller) and between them they could have at least worked a roller. But anyway the changes that are occurring at work are going to result in this happening all the fucking time as they supposedly aren't supposed to do any work in their department which is retarded because it means they won't know what the fuck is going on in their departments. Also our store manager has gone off the deep end.

But anyway I'm honestly fed up with the shit going on in that store, I'm applying to do a course through the Open University which will last two years and after that they'll help me get a job (which is hopefully better paying) however if I don't get it I'll just look for a whole new job because I am absolutely sick of the shit going on in my store. Also I kinda want to see the looks on their faces when I hand in my notice and they realise they need to train someone up to my level in order to replace me, not to mention getting someone willing to do my shitty hours.
