This is going to be a quick and dirty write up listing some things that would normally happen in a game playthrough but since I don't have any story reasons to deviate from what normally happens, I'll just list things to keep the story going.

Delphine, Esbern and Lady Rose depart the Riverwood for the Karth basin (I don't have anything else to say about Delphine giving the Inn to Orgnar, even though it seems unusual to me).

We clear out the forsworn camp outside the cave, then clear out the cave. An elderly but skilled mage and two sneak archers can make quick work of Forsworn distracted by a storm elemental.

Passing the pillar and trapped floor with Esbern's comments about the Dragonborn symbols, the party reaches, and then passes, the blood seal.

The three find, examine and decipher the Wall, and Lady Rose leaves for the Greybeards at High Hrothgar.

They Greybeards give Lady Rose a list of known word wall sites to study and improve her control of thu'um, then teach the Clear Skies shout after Einarth has to whisper at Arngier to correct him (as yelling at him would probably throw him to Whiterun).

Meeting Paarthurnax will cause some potential problems later, but for now grants another word of the Fire Breath shout and the next step in chasing Alduin - an Elder Scroll must be found.

Travel to Winterhold, talk to mages, and find one missing (skipped, I just went right to Septimus' hideout) I retrieve the Dwemer flash drive and keycode.

In order to pick up something for later I hit Raldbthar and decend through three zones, eventually reaching Blackreach and the dragon hidden there. A shout at the sphere and a dead dragon later, I hit Mzark and pick up the Scroll.

Scroll in hand I return to the mountain top and the time rend tear, read the scroll and learn the needed Words. Alduin sent running with his tail between his legs I find the next step means I need to check my rental agreement for pets.

The next chapter will involve more deviations from the game story, because it makes more sense to me and I'm telling the story.

( I have a terrain overhaul that makes it look like summer, with longer grasses and flowers instead of snow. Somehow enough time passed that it changed from day to night. )
