I think I'm on to something.

Storms of Superior

I was searching for a Papyrus Tutorial that I can follow since my last blog entry. I came across this gem.http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Papyrus It's almost perfect for my learning difficulties, but it's certainly good enough.

Anyway, in my last blog, CPU suggested that, in order to make a door summonable, that I put the door's object reference in a property. So this means scripting. I'm thinking that such a script shouldn't be very long, but I would like it to do a few things that should cover all circumstances that are involved.

Trigger on spell cast.
Place door.
Check to see if it's enabled.
If false, then enable it.
If true, do nothing.

I understand that it will be a bit more complicated than that, but that's about all that I want it to do.

I will also want to disable the door again after it's used.

Other than that, I have no need for learning in the near future. I'm too slow a learner, anyway.

Thanks for the read.

PS. If anyone has source scripts that I can read, please share. Also, is there a way to add weather to an interior?

EDIT: if anyone is interested in looking at the unfinished mod, send me a message. Big advice good!

I don't know of any way to add weather to an interior, but you can make an exterior cell and then just make it look like an interior. Blackreach does that, for example. There may be others.

Just make your exterior cell, then build your structure as normal, I think that'll do. You may need to disable fast travel for that cell.

Umm... I already made it an interior. I did too much to start over.

You should be able to just select everything you've done, copy, and paste into an exterior cell. I think. I've never tried forcibly making an interior into an exterior like that, but I think it might work...

It's an awful lot of stuff to copy and paste, though. (OOO Dust in the Wind!) There is much that I need to learn, as usual. The only thing that I can think of is sharing the unfinished mod, and that would probably make it less appealing by the time it's finished.
